My Summer Internship at Airbus Americas

During my internship at Airbus, I had the incredible opportunity to dive into the cutting-edge world of technology and analytics, specifically focusing on the Skywise platform. Airbus, a pioneer in aviation, has been investing extensively in technological advancements, and the Skywise platform stands as a testament to their commitment. Skywise, renowned for its analytics services, caters to Airbus' customers, manufacturing, and supply chain operations, with the potential to extend its benefits across various domains.

My primary objective during the internship was to assess the feasibility of utilizing the Skywise platform for analytics, particularly in the realm of employee experience data garnered through engagement surveys and continuous listening channels. The journey was both exhilarating and enlightening, as I delved into a comprehensive range of tasks.

I began by engaging with stakeholders,meticulously gathering their expectations and requirements for analytics outcomes. This initial phase was critical in understanding the landscape and setting the stage for the subsequent steps. I prepared and transformed datasets from the existing survey platform, seamlessly integrating them into the Skywise environment.

Throughout the internship, I wore multiple hats – from a data engineer to a problem solver. I meticulously evaluated the advantages of Skywise while identifying potential gaps. This involved a holistic approach, encompassing data security, quality,visualization, and performance aspects. Leveraging my technical skills, harnessed the power of Python and PySpark, employing modules like Pandas,Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, and PyTorch for data manipulation and machine

learning tasks. I embraced DevOps tools like Git for streamlined collaboration.

As I immersed myself deeper, I undertook a fascinating journey into sentiment analysis using custom-trained models. This involved using Python libraries to categorize and visualize sentiment patterns.

Additionally, I undertook a comprehensive research project comparing platforms

like QlikSense and Qualtrics, showcasing my knack for innovation and

problem-solving.

My experience wasn't confined to technical aspects alone. I learned to navigate a rapidly changing environment, honed my communication skills to convey complex insights to diverse audiences, and demonstrated an entrepreneurial mindset by adopting pragmatic approaches to digital product development.
