My summary for AWS re:Invent -2020 Machine learning announcements list- 8th Dec.

After a great exciting Key note session by Andy Jassy last week on 1st of December 2020, two hours back we just had our first-ever Machine Learning Keynote by Dr. Swami the VP of Amazon ML. And below my summary of announcements and key points, we had 10 new announcements adding to what were already announced last week.

1-   In 2020 only  AWS released 250+ ML features adding to more than 200 feature in the past 2 years.

2-   %92 of cloud based Tensorflow run on AWS. And %91 of cloud based PyTorch run on AWS.

3-   Announcement !!Amazon SageMaker distributed training, which offer two options for distributed training. Data Parallel and Model Parallel to accelerate the training process and to be able to scale.

4-   Announcement!! Amazon SageMaker Debugger profiling:-  Monitor the training process to provide detailed framework metrics during different phases of the training job.

5-   Announcement!! Amazon SageMaker Edge Manager : Provide the  tools for model management across your fleets of edge devices so you can optimize, secure, monitor, and maintain machine learning models on fleets of edge devices such as smart cameras, robots, personal computers, and mobile devices.

6-   Announcement!!  Amazon Redshift ML to create, train, and deploy machine learning (ML) models using familiar SQL commands. Also refer to Aurora ML and Athena ML.

7-   Announcement!!   Amazon SageMaker Clarify to Detect bias in ML models and explain model behaviour.

8-   Announcement!!  Amazon Neptune ML: easy, fast, and accurate predictions for graphs using Graph Neural Networks (GNNs)

9-   Machine learning to solve business problems:-

a.    Contact Center :- using Amazon connect lens, Amazon Connect Tasks, Amazon connect Voice ID and  Real-Time Contact Lens For Amazon Connect .

b.    Intelligent Search :- Using AWS Kendra and we had 2 new Announcements !!

       i.   Amazon Kendra launches connector library with 40+ new connectors. check also Google Drive connector.

      ii.  Amazon Kendra launches incremental learning

C. Code and DevOps using Amazon CodeGuru and Amazon DevOps Guru.

10- Announcement!!  Amazon Lookout for Metrics detect anomalies, or unexpected changes in your metrics.

11- Announcement!! Amazon HealthLake which removes the heavy lifting of organizing, indexing, and structuring patient information, to provide a complete view of the health of individual patients and entire patient populations in a secure, compliant, and auditable manner.

12. Announcement!! Not in the Keynote--> We just announced Amazon Forecast Weather Index which automatically include local weather to increase your forecasting model accuracy.

13. Announcement!! Not in the Keynote --> Amazon SageMaker JumpStart – Easily and quickly bring machine learning applications to market.
