My success in 2023 all hinges on this…

Today I want to share with you a process that I’ve started doing in preparation for the coming year.

You all know that I’m big on planning and I definitely have a plan for my business across the next 12 months, but what about something a little bit more personal??

How we feel, how we show up, the energy we bring to the next 365 days, and how we make decisions about the Yes's and the No's. This is a process that allows me to stay focused and aligned and as Stephen Covey said it helps me “keep the main thing the main thing.”

Every year I choose a word or a series of words around which to anchor and align my year. You may say ‘a single word can’t achieve goals for you’.?And you would be correct in many ways.?

It’s just a word or a series of words, after all.?

Without planning and effort, and pure hard slog, nothing will happen. But what that word does is give me a focus. It creates something tangible because, as Patrick Rothfuss said in?The Name of the Wind, ‘As names have power, words have power. Words can light fires in the minds of men. Words can wring tears from the hardest hearts’.

The word acts as a tether to all of my goals, and all of my plans across all areas of my life. Because at the end of the day everything comes back to you and the actions you take so having a word that ignites the fire within you is only going to make your year better.?

So what does 2023 look like for me?

It looks like…?Space.?

Space is the word that aligns with my vision for 2023.?

Space to focus on the growth of my business in the way I want.

Space to think and create.

Space to live.

Space for more love, joy, and fun.

Space to learn.

Space to connect

Because when we get trapped in the whirlwind of being busy simply for the sake of being busy we dim our light by wrapping it in time constraints. We don’t give ourselves the space we need to be brilliant.?
