My story :)

Just when I thought about writing something , that's when it struck me. why should I write about something which I have to cook up ? Rather its best if you write from your heart. So here goes the story of my Life!

This is for all who are aspiring to be pursue their MBA dream from a non B.com/BBA Background. Because I am one among you, a graduate in Bsc.Botany & Biotechnology and to surprise you even more I worked in IT & service Industry for 9 months after my Bachelor's course. While I was working that's when I realized that if you need to excel in your career you need to move up the "academics ladder" . So that's how my MBA dream kick Started..!

Even Before I joined for the course , the two things which always made me worried was how can a Bsc guy crack the management principles ? and how will I possibly learn the art of accounting ? which I think most of you are also thinking about. But let me tell you its easy.

The one thing which you always need to remember is :

Being an underdog is the best thing , because that's when you can surprise others and at times surprise yourself too.

Yes , the subjects are bit tough to digest at first especially "accounts" if you don't even know the basics which I also suffered a lot .Its just like when you are learning how to ride a bike , you will fail but that's how you learn. Because for my first Internal Examination I miserably failed I got only 9 marks out of 30 now that was a shocker!

One easy way to get better in accounts is to- when ever you write an exam which is happening in your institution give it your best shot , solve the problem using your crazy methods. And I can assure, your Accounts Faculty is going to evaluate that performance and will be giving pointers for you to improve ! it sure happened for me.

Second would be asking your mates who are familiar with the subject. MBA is not about Individual performance , its all about team building and managing. Not a "Group"of mates but you need a "Team" of mates.

Because the synergy among a team is always higher than a Group

From my experience I can say that the one thing which is always going to determine you to be successful in your profession or life is the robustness of your networking !

If you get a good bunch of mates to support you then that's your lucky ticket to success.

If you get a bunch of good mates half your problems with your subjects are solved the remaining half is you.

Change your mojo

Because as soon as you joined for the course its time that you gear up because you will be getting a huge load of assignments and case studies to work on. But the solution to that problem is to invest yourself for you.

Invest a bit of time , and I can assure you that you'll be getting results.

On top all my worries , the one thing which always going in the back of my mind was the 4 hrs of train journey which I had from Changanasserry, where my college is, to my home at Kollam. Because life isn't always fair and when you realize this just push yourself and keep moving ahead.

When you know that things are going against you , that's when you got to be more positive.

With all this messy things to tackle , right now I have completed third semester of my MBA programme . Till now with the support and compassion of lot of human beings around me, things are looking bright. If a Biotechie like me can give a try I think anyone can have a go for it ! So if you are still messed up with all the confusion , leave them apart. Because you can and you will crack it..!

The three things you need to do is

1. Try things in life
2. Love yourself
3. Enjoy what you do

Something I believe in - "Passion is a game changer"

I don't know what's going to happen next in life for me , But I am ready for what ever is waiting for me at the other side - Because I am a survivor!
