My Story - The lifecycle of an entrepreneur!

My Story - The lifecycle of an entrepreneur!

Wrong System Step 1:

When you are in Class 12, You are evaluated based on your memorising (cramming) ability, and spitting out lengthy answers. It was better when i was in ICSE board.

Wrong System Step 2:

When you wish to go to Medical School, You sit for a 3 hour MCQ exam, You get a rank, and then based on your "Surname" you are awarded a Medical college. Or worse, you get nothing, And try 1 more year, to get a college with no facilities and no infrastructure to support your passion and talent.

Wrong system Step 3:

You wish to do a Specific Specialty, but No, You sit in another 3 hour MCQ exam. The questions do not check your Clinical acumen, again they check your Memorising ability. The exam gives ZERO consideration to your interest in any field, ZERO consideration to your experience in any field, ZERO consideration to your work or research in any field, and ZERO considerations to your marks in that field. Even if you have worked 10 years in "Eye department" , that means nothing. You get a score and a RANK, that rank decides (along with your 'Surname') which specialty you will study at which institution. Again no regard to your passion and facilities needed.

Wrong Step 4:

You go for a job, The Senior doctors never discuss a case, they never teach you, they only come to give orders, and call you check if the Orders were well executed, if not, you get a nice misbehaving scold. An insult and rudeness as if you are a begger demanding alms. The patients scold and misbehave with you (& why not, they paid for this 5 star hospital room), the doctors misbehave and insult you, the HR misbehaves and curbs you. And you realise, This is what i get for being the topper of my class all these years. This is my Punishment for being above average, of being more intelligent and more hardworking. No respect, No status and above that No money.

Wrong (may be Right) Step 5:

You realise that an uneducated Dhaba owner has a better life. More relaxing, More rewarding, More money and a lot more control over when to work and when to take a leave.

Wrong (may be right) Step 6:

You wish to change the system. And you realise, that riding the ladder by becoming a senior doctor or an IAS is a slow process. By the time you reach that level of control, your age and passion may not stay or wither away. No one knows what will happen if i try to ' fix the system' by staying 'in the system'.

Step 7:

You decide to fix the system and solve problems by coming outside the system. By leaving the rate race and doing something on your own and in the process may be live a better life, like you imagined in Step 5. The idea is , get out of the system to fix the system. But alas, the system is ruled by corrupt people who do not want any change. They want their power and control to stay. They want their money to stay and they want to give that legacy to their family members.

Step 8:

You are denied any kind of support by the system. Loans, Investments, Grants have been refused. Misbehaviour & insult from Senior doctors has turned into Misbehaviour and insult from total strangers who are less educated and less competent than you but are sitting in Government and VC Competition Juries. You realise, within the system or outside it, no one is going to help you, no one is going to appreciate your intentions, or your hard work. You are on your own in this bloody war against the system. You left a safe job and a set path. You went in uncharted waters, without a guide map. You built a team after talking to 70+ people, You managed a team, you built a product after years of research, failures, experiments all without pay or income, you travelled for a small office space 6 hours a day in New Delhi’s heavy traffic, You missed your diets so you can save for travel, You lost an eye, Your family never found peace through you, Everyone thought you are a crazy failure, you had to go through a lot of pain, YET still, you did finally after a lot of interactions and efforts were able to Build & Invent your Product. Then after a similar yet slightly less painful time span, you were able to enter the Market and gain some revenue as well. But, in the end, again, all you get today is Misbehaviour and insult from total strangers who are less educated and less competent than you but are sitting in Government and VC Competition Juries. Alas! But that is it. That is the truth about entrepreneurship in today’s ‘Bharat’.

Step 9:

You are hurt, You make some decisions, Let us see what happens..
