My Story, My Life of Positivity

Hi Everyone,

Not all that read this know me, but I felt compelled to share. Overall, I want to say something positive because the news does not tell us positive stories for the most part. There is so much good going on every day and yes, we are making progress to win this war. Yes, we are at war with a virus and that means we ALL must sacrifice so we ALL win.

This is the second war I have had a front row seat for in my life. The first being 9/11. I had a front row seat, working a block from the Towers and LITERALLY watch the first plan fly 100 feet outside my office window (no exaggeration!!!). I ran home 10 blocks to my wife and four-month-old baby. We evacuated our building and had a first eye’s view of it all. We ran hand in hand from the falling towers. Yes, we were that close. We were engulfed in the cloud of smoke. We fought our way back to our apartment, coughing, tearing up not able to see what was in front of us. I remember asking my wife how Josh was. She said I don’t know; he is not moving (he was covered up as she held him to her chest).

No country is better than ours. No citizens more stronger during difficult times. NY had the largest ever maritime evacuation. So many boats, before the Coast Guard asked, were pulling up to the shores of NYC to get us across to safety. We got across and every time I had Gina stay with Josh so I could get water, figure out our next move, sooooo many people came up to her thinking they were alone and saying “come with us to our home. We will help you!” That’s what we do as Americans! We pull together. That is what we are doing now, but the news does not show stories of people helping strangers. Find news like I have attacked here so you can hear something good every day! Then share it with everyone!

I love that I am a Coach now. Thanks to God! Last August I had an offer to run a company in Utah. A significant 6-figure offer and I went kicking and maybe screaming instead to Austin to be a Coach because God said He has bigger plans for me and needs my help. Instead of a fat salary, I went into significant debt to buy my coaching franchise and could not be happier about the decision! I have a platform to help so many during this difficult time and get to every day. To share my story, to share positivity! I choose positivity every second of every day!

I love listening to Governor Cuomo of NY (No, I would not have voted for him). He is all positive, sharing solutions and ideas, sharing good stories. As he says (as close as I can remember it) “We are not Democrats or Republicans. We are New Yorkers. We are American citizens…” I will add “… we are all citizens of this earth.”

It is our duty and right to criticizes our politicians. But stop calling them idiots and other names. That does not help anyone. Put the vitriol aside and be an American. Choose a positive message!

The last war took me 10 years to recover from on almost every level in my life. It adversely effected my life. Yesterday I started feeling down, angry, despair, those old feelings from 9/11 and I quickly caught myself and said this war will NOT change me in any negative way. I choose positivity! I choose to thrive! I choose to make a difference! I choose to help everyone, just ask and I will be there!

Our world, our lives will change forever because of this. Do you choose a positive change? I DO!!!!
