My Spring Internship experience

I'm excited to reflect on my enriching internship journey at Dana Incorporated which seamlessly extended from the Fall to the Spring 24 Semester, encapsulating a diverse range of experiences and learnings. Building upon the impactful groundwork laid during the fall semester, this internship presented me with further opportunities to contribute meaningfully to our team's overarching objectives while simultaneously expanding my repertoire of skills and knowledge.

I had the privilege of spearheading new initiatives related to the portfolio rationalization efforts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams across various sites globally. I delved into the meticulous task of categorization of data, refine data processes and establishing standards while also initiating an in-depth analysis of the portfolio by leveraging the PowerBI dashboard to uncover consolidation opportunities. This involved conducting thorough data analysis, identifying areas for improvement particularly focusing on location-based insights to reduce overall costs.

My journey also saw me making incremental adjustments to the PowerBI dashboard, refining its capabilities to capture evolving data trends and insights more effectively. Additionally, I explored a proof of concept to automate certain aspects of the periodic updates using Microsoft Flow, further enhancing efficiency and streamlining processes.

Transitioning seamlessly between my internship responsibilities and academic commitments, I continued to work remotely during the spring semester. This flexibility allowed me to balance my coursework while actively contributing to my projects at Dana Incorporated. I am immensely grateful for the mentorship and support provided by my colleagues, particularly Sean Morris and Mandar Parasnis , whose unwavering support and flexibility enabled me to thrive in this dynamic environment. This internship has been instrumental in honing my analytical skills, enhancing my strategic thinking, and solidifying my understanding of business dynamics.

As I conclude my internship experience, I am filled with a sense of pride and accomplishment. This experience has not only deepened my understanding of data analytics and business strategy but has also equipped me with invaluable skills in project management, collaboration, and problem-solving. I am confident that the lessons learned and experiences gained during this internship will serve as a solid foundation for my future endeavors.
