MY SPEECH ON THE OCCASION OF LT GEN MD MAINUL ISLAM (RETD) OSP, BGBM, AWC, PSC VISIT TO ELITE FORCE - 13TH MARCH 2022 ( EX CGS BANGLADESH ARMY & EX DG BGB )

“Dear General,

Thanks for your very “BOLD” and very thoughtful & pertinent comments. Much expected from you the 'Saviour' who was monumental in the total ‘Overhauling’ and giving a new shape to the dilapidated & devastated Para- Military organisation, the erstwhile BDR. Lest your singularly displayed 'Leadership' we would have been in the Quagmire- deep into the bottom of the ocean.”

1. Dear Lt Gen Md Mainul Islam (Retd) OSP, BGBM, awc, psc:

We welcome you heartily to Elite Force. We are extremely happy to have you with us today. You already know much about Elite Force and I had also written lot of good things about Elite Force, while piecing together an invitation letter to you last night. So, it will sound boring to you if I repeat those again about Elite Force. The ‘Main Point’ is to tell you that we are very very grateful & happy to find you with us today.

2. People who have been visiting us earlier, we tell them at the beginning with little fear & hesitation that they have to spare some extra time with us today and we beg them to have little kindness & patience to bear with us while we go through a little lengthy programme usually chalked out for the visitors.

3. The ‘Guarding Forces’ that we deal with are actually village boys – Most of them are drawn from the remotest corners of Bangladesh. They get Overwhelmed to see ‘Well to Do’ persons visiting Elite Force from time to time. It’s like a ‘Big Day’ for them when they also come across such people. We also take it very seriously to impress all kinds of visitors with our multifarious activities. Infact this is a ‘Big Problem’ with us. We are too much keen to show all our facilities to the visitors – like I mentioned of our Training Academies, Our Dog Squad, Our Emergency Response Units, Very well organised Requirement Center etc. Our Corporate Headquarters is known as the “Mini Pentagon’ of Bangladesh. It has got every thing in the 7 Storyed Building to Operate effectively with a Central Monitoring Center (CMC), 24/7 Service Center, SMS Alert Center and many other facilities you can not even imagine, we are having as a Private Security Services Company.

4. We are also known for our ‘Diversity and Uniqueness’ as a Private Security Company, like we say that we are not typically a Guards/Supervisors supplying company. We do too many other things , some of these you will witness today – Surely, we do not loose ‘Focus’ on our Primary Jobs while accomplishing the Secondary Jobs.

5. Today we will show you a Passing Out Parade, a modified version taking less than 10 minutes to finish the parade, a Dog Show, then entertain you by our Cultural Team and few more items of interest. We urge you and the two other Honorable guests, accompanying you to bear with us – even if it gets bored or time consuming. As said, our boys are poor folks & humble lot – we will beg excuse on their behalf if you find out, that if we are going little ‘Hey Wild’ sometime.

6. Right now, you are in the Training Academy-1, to witness the Passing Out Parade & than we will show you our very functional facilities in the Academy. These will surely impress you and create a good impression about our dedication and devotion towards Private Security Services in Bangladesh.

NOTE : WINDFALL BENEFIT OF THE VISIT FOR ELITE FORCE :

The General’s visit coincided with a Great “Commencement & Announcement” by his brother Mayor of Dhaka City North Corporation Mr. Atiqul Islam of a massive project works of Tk. 5,000.00 Crores for Vatara - Nurerchala area. This will directly benefit and bring relief to the Area which got completely submerged and waterlogged due to the heavy rain last year.
