Recently, I took the plunge and embarked on a GORGEOUS week long cruise WITHOUT Data/Wifi/Computer/Cell service of ANY kind. So much sand, sun and smiles!

Despite my 2 weeks of ANGST prior to my 1 week of PTO of what could happen while I was off work and completely disconnected, everything was fine. Just fine.

• Nothing went up into flames
• Work Survived without me
• My pets at home were fed and alive

Where is she going with this?

Read these 3 statistics:

1. 62% of workers said it's "extremely important" that jobs offer paid time off for doctor's appointments, minor illnesses, and vacations.?
2. 46% of American workers aren't taking all of their allotted paid time off.
3. 49% worry about falling behind at work.

• We VALUE time off
• We are NOT using it
• Half the time it is due to FEAR!

Summer is upon us. You will never look back and wish that you had "skipped" that vacation. I challenge you to

1. Look up your PTO totals --Today--
2. Request off
3. Go .....somewhere! Book a plane, train, cruise, fill your car with gas or -I don't care- sun bathe in your very own back yard with the radio up!

In summary, Friends: STOP rolling your PTO over every year and USE IT.
