A leadership framework that fits in all situations, ironically by emphasizing that there is no one leadership style that fits into all situations. Let me explain.

Situational leadership allows you to understand the developmental level of each of your team members without attributing it to each individual trait. Rather the focus is on each specific task/smart goals and assessing developmental level from there.

As a team member, or individual contributor as we'd like to call it, this framework automatically removes the feeling of 'being judged' as an individual. In other words, we don't associate competency with an innate trait of each individual (fixed mindset). Rather part of their developmental stages.?

And it's crucial to match each individual development level for each specific goal with an appropriate leadership style. Ultimately this framework allows buy-in from each individual contributor, to be part of the process, and be open with their managers. Managers on the other hand, have an easy time, assessing each individual and giving them help that they need, in a way that they truly need.?

So, to address that beautiful irony in this framework:

This framework is the foundation to organization success in driving performance and maintaining talents in house. Learning cultures flourish, and being open to each other becomes easier.
