My (Simple) Secret To Getting Out Of A Career Rut

Everyone falls into a career rut at some point. Everyone. Even me. I absolutely love my career. Yet, in my efforts to push it forward, there are times when I fall into a slump.

But, I know how to get out...and, it's not as hard as you think.

Today, I was inside Work It Daily's free, private Facebook group reviewing all the new discussions. I'm proud to say we are the fastest growing career support group on Facebook. The people joining are so inspiring and resourceful. I love their honesty about where they are in their careers. Better still, I love how the community is coming together to motivate people to get out of their career ruts.

That said, I noticed some members may not understand that being part of a community, while very important, can't by itself get you out of the rut. So, I jumped on Facebook live to share my secret to getting out of career ruts. 15 years as a career coach has taught me the only way out is to:

A) Recognize that mentally, you are in what's called a 'negative feedback loop.'

B) Understand why Ah-ha Moments are necessary to break the loop.

C) How to use the power of the internet to access the information needed to create the Ah-ha Moments you need.
