My SECRET Clarity Weapon!??

If you’re struggling to get clarity and you’re simply sitting in a chair thinking, then I have news for you… You’re going to be there for a LONG time and you’re likely not going to get clarity.

Don’t get me wrong… I HIGHLY BELIEVE that meditation – or sitting quietly and pondering for those of you who don’t like the ‘M’ word – is a critical practice to clarity. But sometimes, it’s not enough.

Sometimes, you need to get the blood flowing quickly while getting into the right mindset to shake loose some unexpected things.

My recommendation – a mini trampoline with ear buds playing inspirational songs.

Why? It’s cheap, it’s easy, AND it’s FUN!

For me, the E-word is a four-letter word - too many negative feelings and baggage attached to it. I prefer MOVEMENT.

It’s important to move to maintain a healthy mindset and body. If the thought of the E-word makes you cringe, then get a mini-trampoline – a decent one is only about $80 on Amazon.

For the fitness nuts out there, you may find running and other aerobic activities can give you a similar experience. But I posit that the mini trampoline is still a far superior choice.

Running and jumping on the earth requires you to power through everything yourself – you can only go as fast and as high as your physical body allows. With a trampoline, the trampoline creates some of the power and helps you go faster and higher than you otherwise would – without harming your joints and giving some added health benefits related to your adrenals (google it).

Your inner child will love it. Jumping on a trampoline is FUN! So, if the E-word includes a definition of “work” for you, then jumping on the trampoline shouldn’t. That doesn’t mean that there won’t be days when you don’t feel like it and getting started isn’t as easy, but once you get going, the fun kicks in if you encourage it.

Want to go deeper in healing your inner child? I like to envision me at a younger age jumping on the bed next to me. Sometimes going into your past can create an a-ha moment that brings you clarity today.

Let’s talk about the air… those micro-seconds of being suspended in air are what often causes some of my break throughs. Sometimes you need your feet not touching the ground to get a different perspective.

It can become meditative. You don’t have to worry about running into people or tripping if you’re running outside or tripping on a rope if you’re jump roping. A treadmill can have the same meditative effect without the fun of jumping in the air. Why wouldn’t you pick fun?

Release the negative energy! Jumping up and down on a trampoline really helps move out stale, negative energy that could be blocking your clarity. If you’re prone to negative self-talk, then you really need to jump on a trampoline! Those negative thoughts don’t dissipate into the air, they settle in you body and build up, and build up, and build up, and build up… If you’re stuck in a negative loop and can’t seem to get out, then this is one of the best ways to release that built up negative energy.

I’ve found that when I don’t want to move, that I’m loaded with negative energy. Releasing that energy and getting the blood flowing changes everything – especially when I’m doing it in a way that’s fun and motivating. That’s why both of the pieces – jumping on a trampoline like a kid – and listening to inspirational and motivational music – are key elements to the equation.

Either of those alone will help. But, put them together and it’s magical!
