My entry into the corporate world is a perfect example of Power that Networking can create. In 1992, I was looking for a job, asked my friend, who in turn told another friend, who in turn told his GM to find a job for me. A senior person from a top-notch financial services company had just moved in GM’s neighbourhood. He requested him to meet me. The interview was arranged. In the interview I was given a task to gather some information about the Hyderabad market and the companies and submit by the evening. My ability to connect and network came handy and I submitted all that I was asked for by evening. I have been and always will be grateful to Dr. L. Ravindran for seeing potential in me and despite me being the weakest candidate from the educational qualifications’ parameters, he chose to recruit me. The rest is history.
