My Robuschi Story - Meet Anca Dumitru and Learn More about Her Journey

Welcome to the first edition of our new series called "My Robuschi Story: First-person testimonials from people behind our brand!" In this issue, we wanted to shine a light on Anca Dumitru's journey at Robuschi, whose role as a Italy AMT & Sales Director was pivotal to our success.

1. Pioneering Path: ?What motivated you to enter the manufacturing industry, and what has been your journey to becoming the Sales Leader at Robuschi??

I began my professional career in research and development, driven by a strong interest in innovation and problem-solving. As new regulations on quality and safety emerged, I saw an opportunity to deepen my expertise in these areas and dedicated several years to studying them. However, my natural inclination for challenges and working toward clear objectives led me to explore a new path—sales. Given my technical background as an engineer, I sought companies that offered highly technical products, where I could leverage both my analytical skills and my ability to build relationships.?

In 2007, I joined Robuschi as an Inside Sales Manager. Over the years, I gained valuable experience in sales strategies and customer engagement, which helped me grow within the organization. With the acquisition of Robuschi by Gardner Denver, I took on greater responsibilities, becoming Sales Manager Italy in 2015. My role continued to evolve, and in 2017, I was appointed Sales & AMT Director for Italy, overseeing business development and customer relationships in these key markets.?


2. Customer-Centric Leadership:? How do you ensure that customer needs and satisfaction are at the forefront of Robuschi’s sales strategies??

One of the core principles that has guided me throughout my career is a strong commitment to a customer-centric approach. I firmly believe that success comes from understanding customer needs and responding with tailored solutions. By combining market analysis, the voice of the customer (VOC), and a strategic vision, my team and I have continuously worked to refine our approach. Our dedication to this philosophy, along with the support of a highly skilled and motivated team, has enabled us to achieve remarkable results and strengthen our market position.?

3. Balancing Roles: ?How do you balance the demands of being a Sales Leader with other roles you may have, both professionally and personally??

Outside of work, family has always been my top priority. However, I believe the key to balancing personal and professional life is passion. When you approach your work with passion and enthusiasm, challenges become opportunities, and achievements become even more fulfilling. Passion fuels perseverance, and when combined with dedication, it leads to meaningful and lasting success.?

4. Leadership Insights: ?What advice would you offer to aspiring leaders, especially women, who aim to take on significant roles in their industries??

If I were to offer one piece of advice, it would be to trust in your abilities and ideas. Every career path is filled with challenges, but these obstacles are what shape us and push us to grow. Rather than fearing difficulties, embrace them as part of the journey. Stand out, take initiative, and communicate your value with confidence—opportunities will come to those who actively seek them.?


5. Reflecting on Success:? How do you measure success in your role, and what achievement are you most proud of as Robuschi’s Sales Leader??

For me, success is not just about reaching big milestones; it’s about making progress every day. Small achievements build momentum, and over time, they lead to significant accomplishments. What truly gratifies me is working with a team that feels motivated and valued. When we set ambitious goals and achieve them together, the sense of collective success is incredibly rewarding. Seeing my team grow, develop, and take pride in their work is what makes my professional journey so fulfilling.?
