My Remarkable Clients in 2020

What an incredible year 2020 has been!

Almost every business has been impacted by coronavirus. I've had the opportunity to work with new clients in a wide variety of industries around the United States and in several foreign countries.

In addition to continuing my work with financial planners and successful insurance agents and a hedge fund manager, I've been coaching and advising clients who have businesses in the fields of coaching, telecommunications, professional training, real estate education, professional speaking, law (estate planning attorneys and a real estate attorney and promoter), network marketing, non-profit consulting, women's empowerment and several other fields.

I'm helping some of my clients launch new businesses and I am helping others change their professions or enter new fields. A remarkable client in Singapore was trained as a lawyer and is also a property investor. He is launching a new business as a professional coach and I think he will be very successful.

After a long career in the non-profit world, a new client in Canada is launching her own business as a consultant, trainer and advisor. A long-time client of mine in Brazil is leaving the software industry to start a business as a hypnotist and professional coach. A number of years ago, I help him write and publish a book in Brazil that brought him a number of new clients and led to some television appearances.

Another long-time client, a skilled Financial Planner on the East Coast, is opening up two new offices. He will now have three offices up and down the East Coast and an office in Nevada. I am very proud of the progress he has made. With all the bad news we hear daily about coronavirus and business shut-downs, it is heartening to see people launching new businesses and opening new offices and it is gratifying to play a role in helping this to take place!

This year I have had the opportunity to work with my oldest client ever, a remarkable 90-year old gentleman who is still contributing to this world. He served in U.S. Intelligence in World War II then came back to America and was trained as a lawyer. He has worked in several different professions and has owned a variety of businesses. He made his first million dollars in 1972 and, like a number of people, he lost that money over time, made it back and more, lost some of that and now, at age 90, he is working on making it back and then he is going to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

I've also worked with a couple of clients in their late 20's. My clients seem more diverse than ever and I love that diversity. I believe that diversity is one of the true strengths of America (and several other countries!).

My most successful client is a long-term client who is now earning more than $500,000 per month after tax! The coronavirus pandemic has actually helped his business. The true source of his success, however, is that over the course of several years, we have totally optimized his sales presentation. He used to primarily do live seminars and live training programs but his business has now shifted to the Internet and webinars. Optimizing his sales presentation--he says we have "totally dialed it in"--is enabling him to make a multi-million dollar income in this most challenging year.

In future articles, I will be writing in more detail about some of my remarkable clients and how they are accomplishing what they are accomplishing. Throughout my life, I have found that I learn best from case studies rather than studying theories or general principles. That's how they teach at Harvard Business School--by using the Case Study method. And that is how I would like to try to inspire you and educate you in some of my articles for LinkedIn.
