My reflections as I turn 45...

1. Health is wealth. Our well-being matters.
Earlier this year, I struggled with a frozen shoulder. It was chronic pain that never stopped. Living with this debilitating pain for over 6 months was among the hardest things I have experienced physically. It made simple tasks like washing my hair or putting on a T-shirt almost impossible. While I’m grateful for the fantastic care I received at @disc.uae, the experience left me with a profound realization: nothing else matters if you’re not well—physically, emotionally, or mentally. Our health and well-being are a priority and must always come first.
2. Connection. It fulfills us more than any material thing.
Feeling deeply connected to someone and belonging to a community brings a joy no object ever could. Some of my most memorable moments this year include the laughter and deep talks during our Kilimanjaro adventure, the hugs and kisses from my daughters, discussions within like-minded, shared-purpose communities I am part of, and intimate shared moments (mostly outdoors) with my loved ones. These connections fill our souls and remind us that we are not meant to navigate life alone. We need our tribe—those who support, challenge, and celebrate with us.
3. Evolving and growing = happiness.
To those following my journey (and welcome to the 3,000 new followers!) know I’m about continuous growth. This past year, I’ve stretched beyond my comfort zone time and time again. What once felt impossible—like starting my own business (one of the examples) —has now become my reality. The "Never-ever" has turned into "Now."? It’s magical what happens when we give ourselves space to grow and nourish our minds with positivity. The impossible becomes possible.

4. Impact. Passion amplifies impact.
This year- more than ever- I’ve had the privilege of meeting incredible people passionate about their work—whether they’re artistic directors, sustainability consultants, wellness experts, executive coaches, pricing gurus, or endurance athletes. No matter the field, the impact gets amplified when someone loves what they do. Their passion shines, their work shines, and everyone around them benefits.
My takeaway: never stop searching for what makes you come alive because the ripple effect is extraordinary when you find it.
5. Positivity is Power.
The last year hasn’t been a straight path for me - it’s been more of a labyrinth. Just when I thought I’d found the way out, I hit another wall. And when I thought I was near the exit, I was thrown back into the maze. But through it all, I learned that maintaining a positive mindset keeps you moving forward. Negativity pulls you down, but positivity lifts you up. The positivity helps you resurface, even when things seem dark.
My takeaway is that everyone can be a critic, and being a "Nay-sayer" is not an art. Very few can say "yes," share the joy, and execute on their yes. These are people to cherish like rare gems in our lives.
As the earth spins another year for me around the sun- I welcome it with an open mind, embracing new connections, opportunities, change, and new adventures. I am confident they will all come. I can't wait.
Happy Belated Birthday. And thank you for being a beacon of positivity.
