My recommended top 10 weekly LinkedIn activities!

My recommended top 10 weekly LinkedIn activities!

Following on from my previous article a few months back about my daily top ten LinkedIn activities, here are my top 10 (additional) weekly activities I recommend:

  1. Write a post, create a poll or write an article and stay around to answer any comments you might get! Here's a link to another article I wrote with ideas of what to write about.
  2. Endorse (or better, recommend) someone in your network.?Spontaneous recommendations are normally very well received!?It shows you as someone who is supportive to others too. Here's a post I wrote about recommendations a while back.
  3. Check back on some of your older posts, often they get engagement at later dates, so answer any additional comments they’ve generated.
  4. Search for company pages that are your target customers or employers, follow them.?Use the search bar e.g “financial services” + “bristol” click return, then click on companies for a list of matches
  5. Check your sign in and security and if you are logged in anywhere else sign out of those unauthorised places. Here's a bit more information on a previous post of mine.
  6. Go to the my network page and find new group or page suggestions to join or follow.
  7. Comment on a post in a group you belong to, this will help get you noticed by others in the group, and help you build your network.
  8. Check the service provider if that’s relevant to you, e.g if you type "law" in the search and choose the filter "service" you will see providers who match that. This could be to find competitors, people to connect to, or potential employers.
  9. Pick a couple of connections you know well.?Look at their connections - are there people there you could connect to, or would like to be introduced to?
  10. Do something active for your current, previous or potential employer page (if relevant), like, comment, share, engage with purpose!

This is terrific advice Sarah Burgess So many people think that engaging in a #jobsearch takes too much time. If you break it down into manageable tasks, it is doable!
