My Deeper Reality !

I was recently at an event organised by BetterUp Inc (with whom I am empaneled as coach) and the facilitator invited us to introduce ourselves through a poem. Below is the poem called "My Reality" which I read out to the larger audience. In between I got emotional and was silent for a while. I completed the poem after the event.

My Deeper Reality

I am they say?

Was born in Chennai, brought up in Bengaluru

Inspired by my lovely parents and brilliant friends

Was a studious, hard working and quiet boy

But is this my reality?

I AM THAT I AM

I am they say

Went to study engineering?

Inspired by a scientific temper

Allowed a lot of other talents to spring

But is this my reality?

I AM THAT I AM?

I am they say

Went to top corpoartes

Inspired by a go getting zeal

Cultivated virtues a many, only to unlearn

But is this my reality?

I AM THAT I AM?

I am they say

Makes a good facilitator?

Inspired by the ability to connect

Shifted mindsets of many by first changing my mindset

But is this my reality?

I AM THAT I AM?

I am they say

Makes a good coach

Inspired by the ability to deepen awareness

Coached a many by first coaching myself?

But is this my reality?

I AM THAT I AM?

I am they say

Authored a book

Inspired by a flare for articulating

Touched a few by learning from many?

But is this my reality?

I AM THAT I AM?

I am they say?

Is a husband and a father

Inspired into marraige to learn deeper family values

Slowly learning to find my balance

But is this my reality?

Is deeply spiritual

Inspired by a holy place, ARUNACHALA by name?

Feeling I have just begun the journey into myself

But is this my reality?
