The new Real Estate market statistics for July are out.
After 3 months of negative growth in closed Real Estate transaction, finally we are looking at increased numbers in July in comparison to July 2019.
At the same time the inventory is decreasing to a 1.8 months level.
What does that mean for you as a buyer or seller?
The low inventory numbers are hurting buyers the most. There is only a limited number of options available in the market. Buyers have to make compromises to get into a new home, at the same time decisions have to be taken quickly otherwise Buyers will end up losing their desired property or they find themselves in a multiple offer situation.
The rising number of sales is a good sign for sellers. In combination with the inventory coverage, it shows that there are lots of buyers who are looking for their next home. Over the last few months many potential sellers didn’t list their properties, because they thought they would be able to get the desired price. Now, seeing that the market is very fast and the demand is high, sellers might be motivated to put their property on the market.
This is a very wise decision, because we are in a seller’s market right now.
