MY QUIET PLACE 5

The events of the day had flooded my heart and I rushed down the staircase in my office complex wondering how things got to this horrible stage. Driving through the busy roads filled with cars and trucks at this time of the night, I could barely wait to get to ‘MY QUIET PLACE’. (You can check part 1 of my previous post to understand the history of this post for a better understanding.)

I just read about two different people in very separate locations that killed over jealousy and strife. They brooded over the evil plan so much and diligently executed or so they thought. The acst were were both described as crimes of passion. Your heart is a very delicate part of you and must be guarded at all times against internal and external influences. Do not harbour evil or allow it room in your heart to grow and nurture that which is wrong. It is a bad seed that keeps growing and yielding its fruit. I heard someone say ‘’wall your life, guard your heart and mind your mind’’.

The concept of guarding our hearts comes from the bible (Proverbs 4:23-26) and constantly we are reminded of all the things that try to come against us. The truth is our hearts serve as the gatekeepers to our lives and when we guard our hearts, we are guarding our lives—our beliefs, attitudes, thoughts, and actions included. Actions if not well directed could have severe consequences. Some of the results we have to live with for the rest of our lives and some actually just end our lives#MyQuietPlace#TurnAroundThursday#
