My published letter to the American Journal of Gastroenterology

Please read my letter just published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology entitled "Granulomatosis With Angiitis and the Expunging of a Medical Eponym"

The letter discusses a medical eponym named for a notorious Nazi pathologist. The eponym is no longer acceptable for use in the medical settings. Even though these Nazis are long deceased, they will never deserve recognition for their medical achievements. Some of these physicians were monsters involved in human experiments performed on unwilling victims. Others, as in this case, benefitted from the availability of bodies of concentration camp victims for their "scientific" research. A very sad time in the history of our profession.
