MY PSYCHOLOGIST WAS A WOLF!

To all his colleagues Dr. Richard Geist appeared to be a renowned doctor that gave speeches and wrote in journals about self-psychology and twinship/connectiveness throughout the country. He was following in the footprints of Heinz Kohut and talked extensively about the importance of empathy. It all appeared great on paper and in the auditoriums as people flocked to eagerly listen to what they considered an innovator in his field.

But I knew him for over 16 YEARS BEHIND CLOSED DOORS! I knew that what he said in his writing (because he allowed me to read it) was nothing like who he really was sans the audience. I knew from the way he treated me over the years, how I had to turn to turn to dozens of other psychologists for help/how I ended up drowning in a bottle. He wasn't an empathic innovator. He was a omnipotent narcissistic workaholic that worked over 12 hours a day and had a revolving door of patients. He had very little boundaries and lacked consistency - the key thing unstable clients need! I wrote a book containing every email he ever sent me. I needed to share my story:
