My Princess Dress

You know when you're at the grocery store on a beautiful, sunny day and a little kid comes in wearing rain coat and rain boots or a little girl wearing her fluffy, pink tutu? You know the parent has picked the battle and for that day and it isn't the rain gear or the pink tutu. My husband and I always smile and say to each other, "but I HAVE to wear my princess dress."

Less than a week ago, the Washington Capitals won the Stanley Cup. Their first Stanley Cup in the team's 44-year history and the first title for one of D.C.’s major professional teams since 1992. I've donned my Capitals shirt and worn it proudly. My husband said, "but I HAVE to wear my princess dress." Yes. Yes, I do. #ALLCAPS
