My PMP Journey

Truth be told, PMP is not a difficult exam, all you need is understanding the processes and having exam-answering skills. No more no less.

I started with LinkedIn Learning Couse by Sandra M Mitchell and Joseph Philips course on Udemy. I always love the coaching part of Joseph Philip’s course, it kept me going from the start to finish, he built my confidence for the exam. I read The PMP Exam: How to Pass on Your First Try Andy Crowe cover to cover twice. Those are my major source of study. I also used Edward Shehab videos on YouTube, and it makes sense for me. The tutor is not only intelligent, he knows where test-takers always issue, and made emphasis on them. I love his style.

 I later scanned through PMBOK sixth edition and if I am to write the exam again, I will read PMBOK from beginning to the end.  

Another resource that is of value to me is the Prepcast simulator by Cornelius Fichtner and PMPMasterprep by Scott Payne Simulator. Cornelius Fichtner and Scott Payne did a good job and made the exam simpler for me. My score on the simulator was 76% on average. I attempted the PMI practices test and I scored 71% on the first trial, which is just so close to exam questions.

As for me, scoring 75% in either precast or master prep simulator shows you are ready. You also need to be able to sit for four hours for the exam, that is the most difficult aspect of the test for me, I even finished in less than three hours and the joy of it is that I saw CONGRATULATIONS!
