My Personal Review 2021

Taking the advice to 10X my goals and 10X my efforts, to 10X my results!

Every year I like to turn and look back down the mountain at my journey to celebrate my wins and challenges. I truly believe this is very important in taking my next step and it has enabled me to move forward, through the highs and lows… As Rocky said ‘you gotta be willing to take the hits and keep moving forward’ ??

2021 has been another year of stepping outside of my comfort zone, massive changes and growth.

Just under a year ago, I set the goal to build my business portfolio, and the massive task of acquiring 6 new businesses by the end of 2022…. My first thought was to stay in Fitness/wellbeing, My sector soon changed when I bought a gym with a beauty salon attached. A change of direction put us on path that is now within beauty and well-being.

The second acquisition didn’t quite work out. Which was disappointing and has set us back in the sense I’m not quite half way yet… Better to fall short of a BIG goal than fall short of a Small goal ??????

As always these things become a lesson, much like my martial arts, I get back up, dust myself off and go again.

The hard lessons are the best lessons and I feel it happened for a good reason.

As a result we are literally on the last leg for the acquisition of a fantastic beautifully run Spa business. ?? (Out of courtesy and respect that’s all I can say for now).

The whole process in the early part of the year during lockdown certainly kept my sanity, talking every day to potential sellers.

My criteria remains the same, I’m looking genuine motivated sellers whose business has good solid principles, morals and part of their local community. Owners who are ready to move on and want their business left in good hands, which can be run remotely through their remaining staff and my team.

I couldn’t do this very easy if I was still teaching/coaching martial arts/fitness classes…. As much as I love teaching, I have built a truly amazing and supportive team. Michelle Allinson has played a huge part in managing Cheltenham Martial Arts. & Fitness KickBoxing - Cheltenham, while remotely helping with the new businesses, with lots of help from Donna Furlong and the rest of the team.

I’m excited by the job and career opportunities this has presented for the staff both in the CMA and the new businesses. As well as the Job opportunities this creates. This year we were able to create a new role for looking after the ever demanding social media. A fantastic opportunity for émeline to develop and grow her own team in the future.

Covid did hit CMA very hard, things are progressing forward and we are getting back on track. I predict another 12 months to be fully where we were pre-covid. Which is amazing considering the pandemic literally took us back to 2015.

I am so privileged to have such a great team, who I call my family, I couldn’t have done it with out them and we could not have done it with out the fantastic client base we have, who equally kept our spirits up in lockdowns through our online classes ????

My personal development and learning has remained consistent, having recently joined a 3rd Mastermind program which I start in February.

I have also become a life member of the Business, Branding and Marketing Mastermind through Progressive…. Simply amazing! Highly recommended ! Thank you Rob Moore and team. ????

Not forgetting everyone within that HUGE network… Simply wow!

You are all so inspiring and its been an absolute pleasure collaborating and meeting lots of you.

Speaking of collaborations, starting The Inner Power Podcast with Angg Woo Wellbeing has been a blast and I’ve made another true friend ????

Our first rule was to have lots of FUN and I look forward to every Tuesday when we meet up and put out our live show.

Mindset Explosion Podcast interviews have been the best so far. It’s on a break at the moment as I rework it’s structure as I want to tie it in with other projects I have going on and coming up.

Mid year I was also busy helping with the Cheltenham BID re-ballot, after much hard work from everyone we secured another term.

My term as board director also continues for another two years.

I love being part of the BID I truly believe it’s a huge benefit and has such a positive impact on Cheltenham.

So much work is being done behind the scenes to improve the town in many areas and it’s a pleasure to be a part of that.

Everything I have wrote all sounds amazing and it is… However, I don’t want to give the illusion any of this came easy and none of it was luck!

I just made it happen and did my absolute best to fit it all around my time with my amazing 3 boys.

I’ve learned that everything is possible, shut out the noise and negative chatter, surround yourself with like minded people, believe in yourself, get the right mentors for what you want, take action and keep moving forward… Rinse and repeat.

There have been plenty of challenges, business and personal.

Whatever!! It happens, that’s life.

My choice is to put my energy and focus into building me, my family/friends and businesses…. Businesses that do so much good and bring so much good to so many people.

Nothing or no one, can or will get in the way of that! Only myself and I simply can’t let that happen!!

I love bringing people along on that same journey.

As I look ahead to 2022, I start another chapter to help investors get a better return on their investments through a property portfolio.

I will continue building the business group and most of all I take the pleasure of seeing my inner circle join me on the next phase of this exciting journey.

I’ll find some time to learn Level 1 BSL at the GDA too ??

????The smallest step is fuel to take the next one.

????See the great, you will do more great things and great people will join you ????

Don’t allow yourself to listen to an inner voice that holds you back… It might have come from someone else, ultimately it’s still your own voice you hear!

20 years ago I wouldn’t have believed any of this was possible. I thought my destiny was in an office working as Electrical & Quality assurance engineer.

Then I said yes to my instructor Stephen Thompson Kicx Martial Arts so it began ??

Put your energy into what you want.

Look back with an open heart ??
