My Opinion About Rekor System

I am not a staff of Rekor, but as a trader, a software engineer, and a trading system developer, I understand what Rekor does and I imagine Rekor has much potential for future growth.

Why the road intelligence is important?

So far, many taxi apps have been developed based on GPS, so drivers use the app to get directions on roadways.

So, most of all taxi apps don't represent the state of the roadways.

For example,

- The road from A to B is in repair.

- The road from A to B was blocked due to a protest march.

- The road from A to B was broken due to an earthquake( or landslide ).

- The road from A to B is difficult to pass due to heavy traffic now.

If you had a choice to select one among the classic taxi apps and the intelligent roadway taxi apps, then which one would you prefer?

No need to say, I will select the intelligent roadway taxi app.

I believe this system can be used in the self-driving as well that Elon Musk is currently developing.

Self-driving detects the roadway states for only a 50-meter range, but the Rekor system can inform the optimized direction from A to B because Reko knows the entire roadway states in real time.

What is the challenge of implementing roadway intelligence?

The main challenge is to build the infrastructure of the monitoring of the roadway by AI camera.

1. The AI camera should be able to map the traffic amount from 0 to 10.

2. The AI camera should be able to express the roadway state with some event words such as "repairing", "broken by an earthquake", "blocked due to a protest march"

3. The events and parameters should be shared by the cloud service and should be notified to all users and users should be able to see the road state via real-time movies.

4. AI cameras should be able to detect special targets (e.g. criminals) on the road and send their location.

Compared to self-driving, this type of artificial intelligence technology is not a technically difficult task.

As an experienced AI image-processing software engineer, I know there are already a lot of image-processing AI frameworks.

It means the development cost for the camera can be enough down.

The hardware development can be related to NVIDIA because the NVIDIA chip is the top one in processing images and AI chips now.

As a result,

1. Rekor can sell more intelligent software than Uber.

2. Rekor can be used as the service for all roadway carrier systems.

3. Rokor can be used as a service for future self-driving.

4. Because of its growth potential, Rekor can be invested by NVIDIA in the future.

5. Rekor can be supported by the government enough because it is related to police support cameras.

As a software engineer, I investigated the possibility of the implementation technically and, I investigated the potential for the growth as an Investor.

The poor performance they recently announced appears to be due to management's inability to find innovative ways to grow the company quickly.
