I went to see Chris Rock in concert on Thursday night.

There was 2 comedians on before him, and they were both very, very good.

I thought to myself: he’ll need to be good to top this.

Then he walked on.

It was interesting…

Yeah, he was funny. But what made him unique was the fact he wove together comedy, philosophy, and a political agenda all in one.

And he went where most people won’t go.

He had jokes which were like…

“I can’t believe he said that.”

Did he get some negative reviews?

Sure.

The media tore him apart…

But that’s the media.

They take an angle one week, a different angle the next week.

Whatever gets more clicks. More eyeballs.

There is very little investigative journalism left, unfortunately.

They rarely do much research today – read Ryan Holliday’s book,

Trust Me, I’m Lying if you have any doubt.

Anyway, back to my point:

If you want to be good, go deep.

Say what others won’t.
