Probably not a surprise for many of you, but my one-word social media prediction for 2024 is…
LinkedIn.?
I wholeheartedly believe next year will be the year that LinkedIn will take personal brands and business brands alike (it already is) to new heights with growth, opportunities, sales, new hires, and visibility.?
I help manage a LinkedIn page with more than 130,000 followers and the daily organic growth and engagement is not something I’ve seen on a social media platform since the heyday of Facebook for brands 10 years ago. It’s so exciting as a social media professional to see. You don’t get many opportunities like this to grow on a platform organically and in a MUCH easier way than Instagram and other channels.?
As with any platform, this won’t be the case forever.
If you’ve been dancing around the idea of getting active on LinkedIn, 2024 is the time.

INSTAGRAM: I encourage you to experiment with the Notes feature on IG. Every time I use it, I get a quality engagement on my account.

INSTAGRAM: If you go live on IG, read this.

LINKEDIN: If your company puts out a regular newsletter, I recommend you recreate it for LinkedIn Newsletters as well. Reach out if you want to know why this is so strategic and how exactly to do it. It’s way easier than you think especially with all of the updates LinkedIn has done.?
?
LINKEDIN: A lot of good topics covered.
?
META: Will these be the smart glasses that actually stick around?
?
SOCIAL MEDIA: Nothing comes close to YouTube.
?
THREADS: Some top tags.
?
THREADS: I’m seeing some reports that brands are getting more traffic from their Threads than their Twitter/X posts.
?
TIKTOK: A look back.
?
YOUTUBE: Instagram has a similar feature.
