My Non-stop Career and Sharing Achievements

Good morning to all my connections,

To kick off a new week with a highly productive spirit, I would like to share with you all about some of my big good news at Talentvis. Last Thursday (April 13th, 2023) marked one of my biggest milestones throughout my non-stop career as a Headhunter/Recruitment Consultant. More specifically, I was honor to be proudly recognized and awarded as a Top 1 GP Sales Achiever at Talentvis Vietnam in 2022 with the awarded wonderful trophy (It’s quite heavy too lol :)))). And moreover, I am super happy to share that I am proudly a part of Talentvis Vietnam in recognition for the outstanding performance by achieving 213% growth in 2022. It was a such hard, memorable and deserved journey for the whole team as well.

Since the end of 2022, I have posted nothing yet on my LinkedIn to update to my connections regarding my 1st year journey at Talentvis Vietnam. So, that’s why I really want to take this chance to proudly announce to you all. Although the new year of 2023 has been going on for over the last 4 months, I still want to raise up this post to cheer up, praise and motivate myself, then take a look back to see what I did, what I deserved to achieve and be recognized. Year! To myself, the last year of 2022 was like a series of up-and-down stories (Of course, I am not a good story teller lol :)))).

As a headhunter, what is the most disappointed is that we cannot successfully connect our clients to the right talents (from our perspective) due to several reasons, I guess. This leads to drop-outs, regrets, downs in sales in business result and negatively emotional pressure. These are how I would describe my first 6 months of 2022, especially the 2nd quarter was even the worst. It was such hopeless and full of self-doubt without any lights of self-belief and moving forward. Then, as one of my mentors always say to me: “Life or career or everything else is always up-and-down like that. It is more about a give-and-take game. When there are failures coming to you in several different ways, just take it simply as lessons. What you learned from your failures, how you take it as lessons and how you take action to face and overcome your challenges, to keep up your things are more important and valuable than locking yourself into your broken things.”. And that totally blows my mind. I just kept trying and trying, kept updating myself, learning, analyzing why I failed and how I could fix, pushing myself to always come out solutions, setting up both of action and back-up plans for the worst situations. This time was absolutely tough to me, even a little bit harder. Because I was on the way to find out my own confidence and who I truly am.

And I think partially I did it. The rest period of 2022 was like a big reward to me. I won some quite big cases. We made revenue. Then, I got promotion into a higher position with some new tasks, roles and higher responsibilities. I became Top GP Sales Maker at Talentvis Vietnam. I’ve been expanding my networking so hard then I made and had lots of international friends (formerly my candidates and clients) then I have my connections across the world without any limits of countries, languages, cultures and even regions. Like my mentor said: “Life is always about a give-and-take game”. And now I can admit that it is absolutely true: the more we give the more we take in return. It is a win-win game.

To me, right now, when taking a look back, in 2022, I took more than I gave. Sometimes, I wondered that why although I was trying so hard, working like a dog with my true passion, the good results still did not come to me. What I received at the time was drop-outs and disappointments. That is why I want to say that the year of 2022 gave me lots of career-and-life lessons. It taught me how to deal with stress, depression, ups-and-downs, emotional management and how to grow up and overcome your challenges. And thanks to the support from my teammates, an excellent leadership and true directions from my Line Manager, I overcame this down self-period, reached to my goals and made my dream achievements come true. They guided me how to improve my performance, pointed me where my gaps were and advised me how to find out solutions and work on it. Then I realize that to fix your problems, to self-grow up, working hard is not enough. I need something more. And the keys are to look at your problems straight away, face it, actively look for supports from whom you trust, find out and classify optimal solutions, build plans and take action, and especially work in a smarter way. And, there is no room for excuses, blames and self-doubts, my mentor said. At that time, without the support, directions from my team and my manager, maybe I would keep getting lost and would not have a chance to hold this trophy and do my posting here. Very appreciate that!!

And on occasion of this remarkable milestone, I really would like to say so many thanks to all my supporters. Especially, thank my Line Manager Ivan Loo for your great leadership, true directions and always being by my side in all cases. A true respect for that!! Thank all of my teammates Tri Nguyen , Jessy Nguyen , Thao Bui , Huy?n Nguy?n , Duong Nhung (Almira) , Nhi Nguyen ( Lucie ?) , Nhi Nguyen (Chris) and T? Th? M?ng Hi?n (Flora) for your encouragement and support when I need. And again, a big thank to the whole Talentvis Vietnam team for bringing me this amazing career opportunity and everything else!!! Honestly and for sure, I would not achieve all these things and become who I am now without all your support!!! So, I super appreciate that!!! And of course, a huge thank to my family, my partners and all of my relevant connections for all!!!

To sum up my post today, I just want to share with you all about my most valuable lesson here. We are basically human being. And we always normally make mistakes. Nobody is surely 100% perfect. So, that’s why I think of myself that there are always things and opportunities out there around me to learn, to try, to explore, to fail, to experience from everywhere and everyone no matter who you are, where you are from and how you are doing your jobs and living your life. There are always solutions for us. In summary, here are some of my general lessons I go though: Set and clarify your goals, stick to your goals and work on your own plans, do the best as we can, learn from failures, actively seek for support from your partners and growth opportunities, try hard to get things done in the smart and right ways. And then if the results come to you, it absolutely will for reasons. Like my manager said: “Do not limit yourself from anything”. Hope my sharing post will be helpful to you all, motivate and inspire you more and more, help you prepare your spirit the best for the ongoing challenging year of 2023.
