My Next Career Move..

Leaving a great, high paying "corporate" job to venture out on my own can be described in many words: exhilarating, hectic, terrifying, overwhelming and freeing... all at the same time.
However, I am have never felt so certain that this is the path I am supposed to be on. You see, I spent my career working for many companies both extremely large and extremely small. Many of my former colleagues have stayed put for over a decade at the same company and yet I continued to move companies, "climb up the salary ladder," gaining a broad lens on the different markets in healthcare along the way. Some might say, I was a job hopper, but the knowledge and experience I gained with each position elevated me personally and professionally with each transition. Each company, each mission, each product or service, and the people that surrounded me in my career prepared me for this moment, launching my own business.
As I matured as both a sales leader, marketer and strategist, I developed a sense of passion and confidence for adding value in more places than in one role, one department or just trying to get one product sold in the market. I find true joy by adding value across multiple parts of the business.
I've had the pleasure of selling the entire portfolio of Cerner Corporation products and services, I did two rounds at Optum contributing to the growth of their analytics platform when "population health" was still the new buzz word and during my second round at Optum, I was a part of some of the largest transformational outsourcing deals in the country mostly in the revenue cycle space. A pivotal time in my career was spent learning from the incredible minds at Caravan Health, a part of Signify Health , when ACO's were still new to the market - I became an MSSP ACO SME and still am today. Thank you to my mentor and friend Jan T. Grimm for bringing me over to my first true "startup" working for Butterfly Network, Inc. . What a ride. It was mid 2020, everyone was completely remote trying to pivot the company from a pure B2C model to full scale Enterprise B2B. We had the opportunity to be the "boots on the ground" team leading us through a SPAC and an eventual IPO. Whether it was scaling the sales team, creating completely new market verticals including messaging, training plans, compensation plans, and truly building something from the ground up - every day was incredibly challenging, hours were extremely long, we all were burnt out and yet I loved every minute of it.
With COVID came the explosion of the digital health market. Care could not be delivered in a traditional way for well over a year and continues to be a challenge today, so businesses pivoted to virtual models and niche, point solutions in the digital healthcare space exploded. My grandmother passed away from COPD, so when the team at Storm3 and Wellinks engaged me to come on board, it was a no-brainer. This was a new space for innovation, the market was ripe for disruption as few were focused specifically on that disease. I knew patients living with this condition needed education, guidance, a confidence booster to manage their RPM devices and Wellinks was pulling all the stops to bring those components together to create a personalized, comprehensive model.
But something kept nagging at me, my soul, my heart and frankly I wanted more. I was working with a few companies in my spare time (evenings, weekends mostly) to create an additional revenue stream for my family and frankly it didn't feel like work because I loved what I was doing. The work was diverse, I knew I was adding value, I was flexing my muscles and knowledge in ways I didn't knew I could and when you do what you love, it no longer feels like work... so I decided to follow my heart and my dreams and walk away from the W-2 position.
Today, I'm excited to announce that my business, my baby, and a lot of blood, sweat and tears over the last couple months has come to fruition with the launch of Health Tech House .
What Health Tech House is not:
What Health Tech House is:
This is an exciting chapter for myself, my family and some of the colleagues that have already agreed to work under the Health Tech House name as advisors and principals.

Thank you for every mentor, friend, colleague and anyone that has supported my journey. A special thank you to my husband Travis Jansen for always pushing me to be the best version of myself, making sure I don't hang out in my comfort zone but instead support my aspirations for having what most say are unrealistic financial dreams and allowing me to execute on that, and last but not least, you are and always have been my biggest cheerleader even on days I feel defeated and unworthy.
Everyone has an idea. But it's really about executing on that idea and attracting the right people to help you build on that idea. Looking forward to helping the market disruptors, entrepreneurs, innovators and game changers of the world solve the biggest challenges in healthcare.
Cheers!
