On To My Next Adventure!

On To My Next Adventure!

This photo was taken 23 years ago, soon after my classmates and I walked across the graduation stage to join one of the greatest law enforcement agencies in the country.  Out of those 69 new Troopers, 3 are no longer with us.  That’s why I am so grateful that as I retired March 1st, I am still of a somewhat healthy mind and body.  I wish the same to all my sisters and brothers in uniform, especially those that are brave enough to be joining this honorable profession in today’s world.  This includes the Dispatchers, Fire Personnel, EMS and all the support staff.  I also wish them a career of incredible purpose, filled with challenges and successes, that makes all their hard work and hardships worthwhile.  I know mine did.  In this, I hope they remain focused on their top priorities – the people they serve!  Thank you to every person that allowed me to offer some support, expertise and when necessary, corrective action.  I hope I served you well.  And thank you to every coworker that had my back and put up with my demanding personality.  Most of all, thank you to the little girl that was in my arms on graduation day and whom has been by my side for the entire 23 years.  She didn’t sign up for the late pickups, the missed dance recitals, the weekend call outs and the secondhand traumatic stress that comes with being a family member of a Police Officer.  Thank you Brianna - I love you so much!  Now… on to my next adventure!
