My New Listing At 418 - 23rd St. SW
It didn't seem to be as warm today as yesterday, but at least the sun was shining and there wasn't any wind barreling down our necks. After reading the weather, it sounded like there's another storm that's supposed to be passing thru, and hopefully we won't be the main target. I know the added snow-cover acts as an insulator for our trees and shrubs, but I'm being a little selfish when saying it wouldn't hurt me one bit if I never again see snow.
Due to yesterday's screw-up with my camera, I went back out to my new listing at 418 - 23rd St. SW and did re-shoots of the ones I lost, and then went back and got all the photos put together and placed online with the listing information, so as of mid-afternoon, it was all out in the cyber-universe.
With it being aggressively priced at $164K, I'm gonna remain confident it'll get sold more sooner than later. My gosh! That home is definitely deceiving from the street because it contains one heck of a lot of finished square footage, and of course it's located out on our every-popular southwest side of town. Just to give you a little bit more info, I'm clipping and pasting the following which I used as my 'agent remarks' in our MLS:
Your search is over! Seeing is believing...You'll be amazed at all the extra room this 3 bedroom ranch has to offer! Featuring a wide-open kitchen/dining/family room providing comfort and convenience during your off hours, or those large family gatherings you've always wanted to host, a separate wing containing master bedroom, bath and walk-in closet, and not to mention a step-saving main floor laundry room. Be sure to note, this home has 3 baths which you rarely find in this price range. There's a private deck off the main floor family room which you'll certainly enjoy year-round. The finished basement offers enough room to create a 4th bedroom and egress window, so don't wait another moment...make the call today before this beauty is gone!
The above remarks were definitely not an exaggeration as to what's being offered, and I can also say I sold that rock-solid beauty a very many years ago, and some years later, those same owners mentioned how much they missed their home, and especially during the winter months when they'd spend their evenings enjoying the ambiance created by the family room's wood-burning fireplace. If you know of anyone looking for an extra roomy ranch that's in move-in condition, please have them give me a call. If you click on the exterior photo of the home I've posted, a slide-show will open.

The remainder of my day was spent setting up appointments for the coming days, making a quick trip out to Staples for supplies, and then working on getting my journal pages created for the many hours I'll be spending on getting my tax information readied for my preparer. After last year having created a more time-saving way to get it all put together, it won't be quite the daunting task as it used to be.
I discovered a new word that was created back when Trump was in office before, and now coming in use again which is 'sanewashing', and after having found it being used in an article I read today, I had to look it up, which you do as well. Yes, all these politicians who've fallen in lock-step with 'D.T.', are definitely going to be doing a great deal of sanewashing.
Believe it or not, there's sanewashing going on in family circles as well, which was even taking place on a regular basis within my extended family. One 'reli' who has a nom de plume of 'Amelia', would often go flying into rants and rages over the craziest of ideas she had in her head, but then a few others would simply dismiss it as being “Just the way she is.”, while another 'reli' who has a nom de plume of 'Sage', would come up with the most bizarre conspiracies which she'd insist were taking place, and being so good at making herself believable, all the more pot-stirring would begin. Of course there'd be one or two who'd also dismiss Sage's lies as once again being, “Oh, that's just the way she's always been.” Reeling forward in time and without resign, I continue to thank the 'Powers That Be', for guiding me permanently away from those nut cases. Just remember, you'll be hearing a whole lot of sanewashing during the next four years.
