My New Book: The Conscious Citizen: The Tough Questions The Average American Should Be Asking

THE BOOK’S DESCRIPTION
This book is a timely classic.
You will be entertained, enlightened, enriched and energized by the wisdom and frankness of Paul and Paulette, as an archetypal couple, participating on a national opinion poll panel.
Believing that they are Average Americans, Paul and Paulette are committed to knowledgeably responding to a special set of survey questions as Conscious Citizens. The set of survey questions were initially generated by a non-partisan Think Tank to collect American’s views on a list of top problems in the country in 2024.
The Survey Questions specifically touch upon 16 topic areas, which include Inflation, Healthcare, Drug Addiction, Violent Crime, Federal Budget Deficits, Climate Change, Racism, Terrorism, Unemployment and others.
However, the “Stars of the Show” are the 114 Tough Questions that Paul and Paulette unknowingly generate, while consciously suppressing the subconscious thoughts that naturally control most of our lives.
This unique set of Tough and necessary questions is inherently intertwined with each of the 16 topic areas. The author believes that authentic and non-partisan answers to these questions can help provide the attention, and the deeper understanding of the broader issues needed to drive a more realistic perspective on what’s best for the country, and national unity, as a whole.
The Conscious Citizen is a book you will read, never forget, and readily share with family, friends and neighbors.

The Conscious Citizen and The Tough Questions
This book is the fifteenth book I have been fortunate enough to have published within the non-fiction and self-help genre.
One of the most difficult parts of the writing process for me has always been determining how to introduce the reader to the book and the book’s true purpose. Within the normal self-help genre, the goal is quite simple. It is to help individual readers solve personal problems and improve their performance in their personal lives or the lives of someone close to them.
It’s for this very reason why I have experienced an unusual degree of difficulty in determining how to introduce you to this one; the most abnormal book that I have written.
Even though The Conscious Citizen is very much a self-help book, it’s goal is not to simply help solve or improve a personal problem. It’s goal is to help to improve the collective lives and performance of the most essential aspect of a properly functioning and democratic nation. It’s Citizens and their Citizenship.
So, I decided to start this introduction with the responses to two of the most common questions I received during the early reviews of the initial version of my manuscript, “What is a Conscious Citizen” and “Why this mindset is Important.”
Then, I will describe the construct and value associated with the concept of the Average American (as I have characterized the mindset of this important segment of the population) asking themselves some tough questions to help guide their necessary role in protecting and strengthening American Democracy.
