1. I recently started using Kubera to get a snapshot of my finances and forecast. It provides a view of overall net worth, broken down by assets. The most useful number: Investible assets. This sums the total liquid assets (cash, public stocks, crypto, etc.) that’s currently available in the event of a cash crunch. Shoutout Sam Parr for the rec.

2. Speaking of Sam Parr, I listen to his newish pod, MoneyWise . It’s one of the few conversations you’ll find where wealthy people talk about how they use and invest their money. I know, a little faux pas.

3. Today is YC’s latest demo day. 10 years ago I stepped on stage to pitch our vision at Product Hunt. Going into demo day, we had a handshake deal with a16z to lead our Series A. Nevertheless, it was a cathartic and thoroughly enjoyable experience to share my enthusiasm with a packed room of technologists.

4. This deep house mix is gooooood. Shoutout to Robbie Bent from Othership for sharing with me.

5. Music can be incredibly therapeutic and tribal. Some of my fondest memories are at live shows, surrounded by people that are fully present, moved by the music. This video captures that peak feeling.

6. I recently did a food sensitivity test. I was curious to identify foods that might be harmful for my body. A few of the culprits, like cow’s milk and whey, were expected. But I was surprised to see a moderate aversion to chicken, my primary source of protein. I’m going to take a break and see if I feel any different.

7. Request for product: Zocdoc for SKUs. My amazing EA (via Athena has spent a ton of time searching for healthcare providers and comparing prices between various health services, from med spa treatments to bioregenerative procedures for my knees. If anyone is building this, LMK!

8. If you want to learn something new or improve an area of your life, consider hiring an expert to help. I’ve avoided hiring coaches for most of my adult life. That was a mistake, driven by frugality and maybe a little ego. I’m now working with a personal trainer to mix up my 20-year routine and a physical therapist to address my knee issues.

9. I met Bonzo a year or two ago when he was leading Buildspace’s video efforts. He’s wicked talented. I’ve always been very fond of video storytelling and spent much of my childhood making silly videos. Give him a follow and watch his latest video here .

10. More on video: The Ethereum documentary just released. Shout out to Linda Xie and everyone else involved in making this happen. Someday I’d like to produce a documentary. Someday…

11. Has an LLM ever made you cry? I think people underestimate AI’s ability to connect with humans. We tend to imbue so much value in the organic and real but I think it’s clear more of our “social” interactions will be with machines. Check out SocialAI , my friend Michael Sayman’s new co. Disclosure: Weekend Fund is an investor in the co since day one.
