My Must-Watch Session Guide for #MedicalImaging #AI at #GTC23

Next week is GTC 2023 (have you registered?) – every year there are some truly fantastic #medicalimaging #AI sessions and hands-on workshops, and this year certainly raises the bar again. This year is once again virtual, and sessions are free to attend. I wanted to share some of the sessions I’ll be watching for and what I’m most excited for, in terms of the #healthcare and #medicalimaging ecosystem and the #transformative and #innovative breakthroughs in technology we’re seeing in this space. At the end of this article, I attached a handy one-pager cheat sheet of sessions, too.
First things first - if anything, be sure to catch the GTC 2023 Keynote on Tuesday 8am PT, followed by the Healthcare Keynote, Accelerating Generative AI in Biology and Healthcare at 10am PT. These will set the stage for the exciting things happening at GTC this year.
#GenerativeAI is an area I’m really intrigued for the impact for the medical imaging space. On Wednesday at 8am PT, Generative AI for Medical Imaging With MONAI is on, covering this technology with MONAI (fantastic community open-source medical AI framework), with speakers from NVIDIA, Kings College London, and University of Barcelona. On Thursday at 10am PT, I’m really keen to attend RadImageGAN: Multi-Modal Generative AI for Medical Imaging, with speakers from Mount Sinai, East River Medical Imaging, and NVIDIA, that covers a generative AI that can generate 165 distinct classes over 14 anatomical regions. Another session that sounds really interesting is Deep Neural Networks for Synthetic Contrast-Enhanced Computed Tomography, which will be available on demand. If you want to give it a try, there’s a hands-on workshop called Deep Dive to Image Generation for Medical Imaging earlier in the week, on Monday at 8:00am PT.
There are some great modality-specific sessions to take in, including:
And if you’re interested in pathology, there’s a hands-on session happening Monday at 7am PT called Using MONAI to Unlock Clinically Valuable Insights from Digital Pathology.
Infrastructure and scaling are key challenges in the medical imaging space, and there’s sessions covering specific topics in this space. Be sure to check out Imaging AI Factory Powered by MONAI and NVIDIA Enterprise, on Tuesday at 12:00pm PT, which walks through the latest MONAI breakthroughs and how to take MONAI to enterprise scale. On Wednesday at 12pm PT, Bristol Myers Squibb will be walking through Scaling Deep Learning for Drug Development with an AI Factory and MONAI.

If collaborative, #federatedlearning is an area you’re interested in, there is both a panel and a workshop dedicated to this breakthrough technology. First, learn the technology with a hands-on workshop Federated Learning from Simulation to Production with NVIDIA FLARE and MONAI FL?on Wednesday at 11am PT, and then hear how from thought leaders with a panel session called Advancing Healthcare with Federated Learning: A Panel Discussion on How to Overcome Challenges and Achieve Success, at 1pm PT.
There are also some fantastic medical imaging workshops, on a variety of topics:
If you have questions about medical imaging or healthcare SDKs, I’ll be hanging out with some of my fantastic colleagues at Connect with the Experts: AI-Powered Drug Discovery, Genomics, Medical Imaging and Medical Devices on Thursday at 7am PT.
It’s going to be a truly phenomenal GTC next week – hope to see you there! Click here to register.
