For the about half of this past decade, LinkedIn has allowed members to post original articles to their profile. This is a powerful personal branding feature that has been wildly successful for LinkedIn – helping them increase engagement in the platform.
According to Foundation, Inc. there are about 250 million monthly active users of LinkedIn, yet only 3 million share content on a weekly basis. That’s just over 1% of monthly users. That means, despite the large number of articles being published, there’s still opportunity to get your valuable content seen by members of your brand community.
As we enter 2020, I thought it would be fun to take a look at the articles I published that had the most traction in the past decade. What I learned was fascinating. For example, my most popular article has been read more times than the following 9 most popular combined! It focuses on a topic that’s clearly really important to LinkedIn members. Not surprisingly, the subject of eight of my top ten articles is LinkedIn.
