The Double H Ranch

My daughter told me the other day that the Double H Ranch in Lake Luzerne was the magical place on earth. I asked why and she said "No matter how hard people work, they are always smiling. They LOVE what they do and they make the kids so happy." She has been volunteering there since the winter session.

At Mannix Marketing, we had a day of volunteering at the ranch a few weeks ago. It made my day when our two newest employees thanked me for having our volunteer day because it meant so much to them to learn about the magic that happens there and they said that they've already shared the mission with their friends. We are honored to support the mission of the ranch and have it be the top non-profit that we support as a company. It means a lot that our team is equally passionate about their mission to bring happiness to children and families dealing with life threatening illness.

Lake George, Saratoga and the Adirondacks

From thoroughbred racing in the summer and the amazing shopping in Saratoga to the beauty of Lake George and the majesty of the Adirondacks, four seasons and we are so fortunate to have such amazing beauty around us. What a great place to live and work. Ask any Mannix Marketing employee what they are doing on any given weekend and you will hear "hiking in the Adirondacks, enjoying the lake, skiing, going to xyz event..." There is no shortage of fantastic things to do in this region.

Mannix Marketing: OK, it's Magical to ME !!! I did say MY most magical places...

Why: Reason #1 - The Results: Every week I call clients to follow up on them and see how the marketing we did worked for them, it is my favorite part of the job. This week, I called a home builder and a automobile shop. This is what happened:

Me: "Good morning (homebuilder), I just called to see how the SEO work we did the last few months has worked for you?" Homebuilder - "well we used to get two or three leads a month, we now get 2-3 leads a week. Yesterday we got three calls and we already sold a house from the internet leads ... so it's already paid for itself."

Me: "Hi (automobile service shop), how is business?" Automobile shop "Better than ever,we are thrilled with the work you've done". Now, I sigh a HUGE sigh of relief, I was nervous about this one. The automobile shop dropped their well-known franchise which did a ton of marketing; mailers, discount coupons, TV ads etc... and we were replacing that huge budget with digital marketing. As the service shop offers phenomenal service and in part to the marketing we did, they didn't lose customers and their business is better than ever despite dropping the well-known franchise name and expensive print & TV marketing campaigns.

Why: Reason #2 - The Team: Magic happens at our offices everyday, though you wouldn't know it by walking in, it's a relatively quiet place where people are intently working on their computers, there are no ping pong tables, scooters or lounge chairs where people nap during the day. You also won't find exhausted people working supero long hours, as we respect the need for personal and family time, there is also no office drama as we all truly get along and there are no slackers as we all are quietly enjoying being masters of our craft. We work hard and are proud of the results we deliver. The people who work at Mannix Marketing are brilliant as I've been fortunate enough to hire people who are so much smarter and more talented than me, in so many critical areas of marketing. The combination of the different types of genius working together does create magical results.
