My Morning Meditation Message Today

If you meditate, do you find it best to do in the beginning of your day or towards the evening? I read that the best time to meditate is in the morning. Apparently, it’s because the mind is refreshed and quiet in the morning. I don’t agree with this?because when I wake up,?I get my coffee prepared, sit in the family room and?my mind immediately thinks about what needs to get done today.

For me, a morning meditation is to quiet my mind and not think about what I need to do, but rather to start my day, happy being able to have the time to meditate and thankful for living another beautiful healthy day.

I start off my morning doing a meditation but like most people my mind wanders.??As usual when I realize that I am in thought of something,?I start to focus on my breath paying attention to inhaling and then exhaling.?Inhaling and exhaling. Inhale and exhale.

?

When I am finally clear in my mind with no thoughts at all, my usual routine is to?start sending Reiki energy for healing?to myself and to my close family members that need it.

?

What is Reiki? It is a form of energy healing that started by?Mikao Usui.

?

Let me brief you real quick on Reiki.

?

The Usui System of Natural Healing – is a Japanese Healing Art. This form was founded in Japan a little over 100 years ago a by Mikao Usui, whose who did a personal search to understand healing and that led him to discover Reiki. The word Reiki means “Universal life energy”.

?

Back in 2011, I took classes in Reiki and learned about?energy healing using the hands. They also include different learning elements which includes symbols used with these teachings. As you progress to the next phases, you get attunements from a Reiki Master to pass the lineage of healing energy for yourself and to help others.

?

Back to my meditation…. After I finish with Reiki…I quiet my mind again and start focusing on my breathing.?I take deep inhales and exhale slowly and focus on this for a few moments.

The next phase of my meditation I ask questions on what messages or quotes to write to include in the coaching part of my business. I receive message or a group of words that I post in social media.?Lately, I receive themes of messages.?Here are three of them that came into my mind a few days ago.

Theme 1?– Energy

Breathe in the good positive energy.

Exhale negative energy but immediately put the intention in your mind to change it to loving, positive energy for the earth and people to receive this good energy.

?

Theme 2?– Reflection

On Reflections -Think only good things today or what did you did yesterday that made you feel good?

?

Theme 3?– Think positive thoughts / self-care

When things go wrong, change your thought with optimism.

?

I am sure that I will elaborate and explain in detail about these messages, more than likely in a book that I write or talk about it in my podcast. (You can listen to my podcast here at:?8th Level Podcast)

My meditations last anywhere from 10-minutes, sometimes up to 1 hour. I used to meditate in a quiet room, but my mind is all over the place. Because I am a music person, I found that?listening to soothing, meditative music?with binaural beats helped me.

?

Binaural beats are audio waves that are recorded in certain tones that affect the frequency of your brainwaves.?It is best to listen to these frequencies with headphones on in both ears.?There 5 types of binaural beats that affects the brain waves and here are just two of them:

?

Delta: 1-4 Hz.?Delta is the lowest frequency state, and it’s linked to:

  • Deep sleep
  • Healing and pain relief
  • Meditation
  • Anti-aging: cortisol reduction/DHEA increase
  • Access to the unconscious mind

?

Alpha: 8-14 Hz.?When you are in an alpha state of mind, your brain is focused and productive. Alpha brain waves help you to:

  • Relax and focus
  • Reduce Stress
  • Maintain positive thinking
  • Increase your learning capabilities
  • Easily engage in activities and the environment because you are in a state of flow

Listening to binaural beats keeps me in a meditative state and my mind clear of any thoughts. I found a few YouTube channels that has helped me enjoy my meditations by including binaural beats, commercial free.?It helps with focus too,?especially if I am working on many details?from other tasks that I need to complete.

It seems that since I started listening to meditative music that has binaural beats the messages I receive come into my mind, intuitively and easier. Most times, I just sit and listen and the messages are coming in my mind. If the messages are strong enough, I have to grab my iPad and start writing them down because there are usually a few of them coming in.

?

Since I needed to finalize this writing today for my blog, I didn’t do my morning meditation. But I know that I will get it in this afternoon. It’s nice to?take time to just tune-in and listen to our minds, heart, body and soul?and see what message may come to you that can ponder over or share with the world.?
