My Moment of Reflection

I woke up early this morning to finish one of the books by Og Mandino entitled "A Better Way To Live." The first rule in the book, " Count Your Blessings," before I could fully grasp what the author had to say, I immediately jotted down on my journal page some of the blessings in my life. Fortunately, enough, as I began writing, I soon realized that my list of blessings is too numerous to count. Would you like to read some of them?
Not that you would notice, but I have been slightly absent on social media for a couple of months. On October 26, 2020, at 3:26 PM, my dear mother transitioned to the afterlife. I was there with my mother holding her hands when she gasped and took her final breath. There is an eerie feeling one cannot fully fathom about one's " Breath" of life. It is special and very mystical.
I mourned, rejoiced, and celebrated the life and legacy of my mother. Our memories of her are etched on pictures taken with her. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and grandchild. I am blessed beyond measure because, amid the Covid-19 Pandemic, we gave our dear mother a proper Homegoing Celebration service.
Og Mandino brilliantly posits, " Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward toward the life that God intended for you with Grace, Strength, Courage, and Confidence. “Whatever you are going through right now, take courage, and know that you are not alone, and life is not always a blissful journey.
My friends, the words of wisdom and exhortation I leave with you today are the following: Live life with Grace. Serve others with Strength. Show Courage when others appear defeated. Confidence will come when you count your blessings.
