My life has been amazing- Count the blessings
Steve Sapato
I train people how to impact and engage an audience. Leaders need to excel at speaking and presentations. I show them how to be great. That's what I do.
Have you ever just thought about how blessed you are?
I know, people say, count your blessings, but have you?
How do you count them? By experience? By knowledge? By time? I am hoping this helps...
I have owned a real estate appraisal company, a sporting goods store, an ice cream store, a nightclub, a banquet hall, a speakers company and a speaker training company. Can you relate?
I have worked as a riverboat gambler, a ski instructor, a swimming instructor, a high school tech director, a college speech instructor, a company spokesperson, a motivational speaker, make-up counter sales person, unloaded box cars, waited tables, managed restaurants, sold cars, managed gas stations, and taught thousands of people medical software. Written 5 books, one a relationship book and four business books.
I have lived in a second level apartment with a 10 foot blue tree painted on the wall leading down the stairs, a large home with a great swimming pool, an 800 sq.ft. home that barely offered a kitchen, a home on a golf course where we played ever week, an apartment that looked right over Navy Pier in Chicago, and a grand home on a lake in Florida. (heading to a 38' RV soon)
I have had the greatest experiences
from seeing wonderful theater in London to watching the grandkids play at the beach,
skiing the mountains of Colorado to traversing by car across the United States 3x as an adult and one time as a kid to see the Seattle Worlds Fair and eating the best strawberry waffles ever!
Played in a rock & roll band, fought in a Toughman contest, and lost some teeth along the way.
Sold glow-in-the-dark products at music festivals, and sat on the board of the Bix Biederbeck festival & event.
Wrote an erotic novelette, gotten fat, gotten thin and gotten fat again.
I have sum (swam?) in the Pacific, Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. Seen the redwoods, gone indoor skydiving, kayaked with alligators, seen the Statue of Liberty, and watched ants crawl on the sidewalk for what seems like hours at a time.
I cannot begin to talk of the incredible things and life experiences with a wonderful wife and a now adult, amazing son.
I have run/managed all types of events, managed all kinds of situations, helped a few people along the way and I hope, changed some lives for the better.
How about you?
I hope these tidbits of my blessings have helped you remember a few of yours... and maybe you will write your Blessings and tag me in them so I can smile along with your memories and remember even a few more of mine.
