My Learnings from a silent Influencer!

This is a personal story, but I think it has some valuable insights with regard to one's career so thought of sharing it here. It’s about my dad, who has been working as a lawyer for over 50 years and still loves what he does.

My dad specialized in labor law and represented workers’ unions in their fights for justice and dignity. He has always been honest and transparent with his clients, even if it meant telling them hard truths or losing some cases. He never compromised his principles or ethics for money or fame. He also mentored many lawyers who went on to become successful in their own fields. He was always proud and happy mentor.

I have seen him work with passion and dedication for more than 30 years. He never complained or got bored of his work. He always found new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow. He treated every day as a new adventure and a chance to make a difference in someone’s life.

While the list can be endless, I'm sharing the top three takeaways!

Find your passion and motivation. Don’t settle for a job that doesn’t excite you or make you feel fulfilled. Seek out what you love and pursue it with enthusiasm.

Be honest and transparent with your stakeholders. Build trust and credibility by being clear and consistent in your communication and actions.

Embrace the good and bad days. Don’t let setbacks or failures discourage you or make you lose hope. Learn from them and move on. Don’t let success or praise make you complacent or arrogant. Appreciate them and keep improving.
