My Learning Experience in Techplay|Sporfy

I enjoy my job because it allows me to help people. Following my post-graduation, I joined Techplay as a technical recruiter. It's my very first job. As a recruiter, I had the opportunity to learn about the candidate as a person and professional that a company desired, and then match the two. I enjoy my job because it allows me to assist others. It also requires me to use my listening skills. It also helps me develop intuition for recognising the best qualities in people.?

For the first few months, I was undergoing training. That experience was both rewarding and challenging. I have a great team to work with here, and my managers were extremely helpful during my training. I was assigned to various challenging roles and began sourcing. Then I began interviewing candidates. The candidates were ecstatic to hear about the new openings and were eager to explore new opportunities.?

Not all candidates are the same; some prefer to talk more, while others prefer to hear only the relevant points. This prepared me to deal with a variety of people. I had the opportunity to speak with candidates ranging from junior to very senior. After speaking with a few people, I realized that the approach to both is completely different.?

The majority of the information I have in this field has come from my candidates. Each of the candidates will have something to teach you. One of my senior candidates was hired, and he called me the next day to tell me that he had been looking forward to this day since finishing his education. He also mentioned that it was his dream company and dream job, and he thanked me profusely. That gives me hope!?

Dealing with people can teach you a lot about life as well. Because the recruitment industry is a people business, you learn a lot about people's situations and lives. You will occasionally learn about their problems and the difficult times they are going through.?

I learned a lot from my company, my colleagues, and my candidates. Still learning, and there's more to come....!!
