My leap of faith

1995 - Reed High St Recruitment, London, roller decks, no PC and a landline, and zero recruitment experience! Fast forward 12 months and somehow, I'm Reed’s most successful consultant in London!

When I think back, there was no silver bullet, just sheer determination and hard work. For me this has been the founding principle of the past 24 years of a career of which I'm hugely passionate about - recruitment. That and the amazing people I've met along the way.

2019 - and it feels like 1995 again. Not quite landlines and roller decks, more like iPhone’s and all singing and dancing cloud-based CRM systems, and a little fear of the Unknown - Why because I am the proud founder of Ruby Recruit!

The learning curve is steep, with nobody running IT, admin, or payroll, I have learnt more in the last few weeks than I can recall. However, this is now a time to embrace and use all I have learnt and get out there and enjoy engaging again with the wonderful talent that is the Auckland Human Resources scene.

So, watch this space, Ruby Recruit will be launching very soon, and I simply cannot wait!
