My Leadership Journey

My Leadership Journey

My leadership journey began as a young girl, crafting a lifelong mantra: "I want to be an effective member of society." Though its meaning was unclear back then, my desire to make a difference and to create positive change was very evident.

Starting my career in pharmaceutical sales at multinational companies with dual degrees in pharmacy and chemistry, I initially found success in the corporate world. Yet, despite being “the best sales achiever” for three consecutive years across the gulf region, a nagging feeling persisted – a sense that something essential was missing. As a pharmacist, I felt I wasn’t making any impact, there was always a doctor between the patient and myself. I yearned for a deeper connection and a more profound sense of fulfillment.

It was through reflection and introspection that I discovered my true passion lay in professional development. I ventured into the realm of human resources and learning & development, and I found joy in guiding others toward their personal and professional growth. This realization led me to career services at higher education institutes, where I experienced the profound satisfaction of supporting students in realizing their career aspirations. Witnessing their growth and success ignited a fire within me – a desire to empower others to reach their full potential.

To further empower the students, I experienced the transformative power of coaching, that then led me to immerse myself in further graduate studies in positive psychology and coaching psychology. I eventually founded my own executive coaching company, Brightfields Services, in UAE, Qatar and the UK.

Through coaching, I found a powerful means to facilitate personal and professional growth, empowering individuals to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Driven by a deep belief in the transformative power of coaching, and that the world needs more coaches, we launched coach training programs and advocated for its integration into organizational frameworks. I have a firm belief that coaches are making the world a better place, one coaching conversation at a time

I also believe that coaching isn't just a skill – it's a way of being, a philosophy that shapes both leadership style and personal identity. As I continue on this journey, I am driven by a steadfast commitment to empowering others and making a positive impact on the world.

Each coaching conversation represents an opportunity to effect change – one person, one organization at a time. And as I look to the future, I am filled with optimism, knowing that together, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
