About my last post..
In my last piece, I discussed how LinkedIn is being transformed by leaders across industries who are turning it from a simple networking tool into a vibrant platform for engagement and innovation. I highlighted several figures reshaping their fields, yet in retrospect, I unintentionally focused solely on men.
Today, I want to expand the conversation to recognize the incredible women who are also making waves on LinkedIn and across industries. LinkedIn is more than a digital Rolodex—it's a mirror reflecting professional culture and an amplifier for voices that often go unheard. I wanted to take this opportunity to highlight some leaders in the industries I am close to who are consistently championing the wealth of talent, knowledge and experience we as a community enjoy.
Women like, Bronwyn M. , Christina Gomez-Terry , Danielle McLean and Melonee Wise , are using LinkedIn to redefine what leadership looks like and to showcase innovation in fields from robotics to industrial safety. By shining a light on their contributions, we celebrate not just their accomplishments but also challenge outdated notions of who gets to lead and innovate.
Grace Brown , founder of Andromeda , uses LinkedIn to explore the intersection of robotics, AI, and entrepreneurship. Her insights are transformative, encouraging others to drive innovation in Hard-Tech industries. Bronwyn M. of Xeo Air Inc. shares her experience as a certified drone pilot to foster growth and engagement in drone development and safety. Christina Gomez-Terry , VP of Operations at Plus One Robotics uses her LinkedIn platform to showcase Women leading in Robotics, using her platform to showcase female leaders in a fast-moving hard-tech industry, encouraging others to pursue traditionally male-dominated roles. Danielle McLean , founder of the HYSKY Society? is using her community to energise the drive towards sustainable travel and hydrogen fuel engagement. Melonee Wise stands as a shining example of leadership within the Robotics space, as former CEO of Fetch Robotics and current Chief Product Officer at Agility Robotics , she stands as an example of successfully scaling and driving a business through to a successful exit.
?Alongside these leaders are examples from a broader spectrum, including Women like Ayanna Howard , Debbie Sterling , Shilpi Sharma and Sandra Persing . These women are actively driving change through their interactions and engagements across the platform.

Ayanna Howard , founder of Zyrobotics, LLC , uses LinkedIn to explore the intersection of robotics, AI, and inclusive education. Her insights are transformative, encouraging others to make tech more accessible for all. Debbie Sterling of GoldieBlox, Inc. shares her journey as an entrepreneur dedicated to diversity in STEM, resonating deeply with young women aspiring to break barriers in engineering. Shilpi Sharma brings depth to the platform by discussing AI-driven analytics and leadership, inspiring professionals to rethink how data shapes decision-making. Sandra Persing , co-founder of the DevRelSummit Group and former Advisory Board Member of Women Who Code , uses LinkedIn to create an open forum on diversity, inclusion, and allyship.
These women are not just participating in the LinkedIn revolution, they are leading it. Their voices add necessary perspectives to conversations about leadership and innovation, enriching the dialogue. This isn’t about creating a gender divide, but about recognizing that diverse voices lead to stronger, more creative solutions. By highlighting the achievements of Brown, Morgan, Gomez-Terry, McLean, Wise, Howard, Sterling, Sharma and Persing, we underscore that leadership and innovation transcend gender, setting an inspiring example for future generations.
As a father to two young girls, the omission of any females in my first post highlighted my own inherent bias (shout out to my amazing friend Lisa Eisenstat for gently nudging me on this) and the importance of recognising and showcasing the incredible contributions that women everywhere are making to the advancements we continue to make as a society.
As LinkedIn continues to evolve, the challenge for all of us is to use our voices purposefully. To engage, inspire, and create space for others. The big wide world has become a lot smaller with networking sites such as Linkedin, our impact can now be massive. The champions I have highlighted, both male and female, are showing this to be true.

3 个月Adam Reilly Thank you for including me in your reflection—it really means a lot to be mentioned alongside such inspiring leaders. What struck me most was how you addressed unintended bias so openly and thoughtfully. It’s not just about professional accountability—it reflects your genuine passion for growing and evolving, both as a person and as a leader in such a critical space like women in engineering—civil, mechanical, and information. Calling out and owning blind spots is no small thing, especially in fields where women have historically been underrepresented. Your post is a powerful reminder of why it’s so important to amplify diverse voices and build leadership that truly reflects the full spectrum of talent and perspectives. The fact that you engaged so deeply with a concern shows your commitment—not just to the profession, but to continually challenging yourself and others to do better. It’s inspiring to see how you’re using LinkedIn as more than just a platform for connection; you’re turning it into a space for growth, equity, and real change. #WomenInSTEM #Leadership #DiversityAndInclusion #EquityMatters #InclusiveLeadership #STEMCareers
