My last day at DPR
Today is my last day at DPR after almost 17 years. A big thank you to everyone for the many opportunities I’ve had during my journey with the business. Joining DPR in its early days as Chief Software Architect, I was asked to architect a core banking solution from scratch. This turned out to be a career defining moment for me.
The award-winning software paved the way for DPR’s early and ongoing success. Presently the business has +30 banking sector clients with ￡20bn of assets managed under DPR solutions. There are +180K mortgage accounts and 250K savings accounts managed by the solution. I’m very grateful to DPR and its founders (Dave and Raj) for placing their trust in me and welcoming my ideas and vision.
In recent years, I’ve continued my career trajectory with DPR in the capacity of Technical Director and latterly Engineering Principal. My time at DPR has truly shaped me as a professional. It’s been an absolute privilege to work alongside some amazing people from whom I’ve continuously learned. Thank you for all your hard work and support - the best ideas were yours! I wish every success to my colleagues remaining at DPR as well as those moving to new roles.
I’m extremely proud of the legacy that I leave with DPR - a mature software architecture, a strong foundation for onward evolution and a well-established product suite based on that architecture. I know that my successors and the superb existing team at DPR will have the vision and know-how to drive DPR’s technology vision forward and I’m certain the business will continue to do great things.
With great excitement, I can now announce my new role as Technical Architect at Maritech https://www.sea.live/about-maritech/ (part of Clarksons PLC). From 7th June, I will be architecting innovative technology solutions for the business, bringing digital transformation to the global shipping industry. I’m thrilled to be joining the dynamic team at Maritech and I can’t wait to embark on this new chapter of my career.
