A rookie's journey into the world of cryptocurrency: product volatility
A few months ago, I was talking about Bitcoins with my granddaughter who is always interested in discussing all kinds of topics and with whom I like to share ideas. She told me that she found crypto very interesting, but what was scaring her was the volatility of it in general. I didn't know what to tell her at the time. Told her then I would find out more and we would talk again about it. I therefore done some research to realize that despite the ups and downs of the two main cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), the value of both had steadily increased since 2018, BTC by more than 400%. As an example, in December 2020, BTC reached $US 24,000, an increase of 224% over January 2020. In less than a month, it rose to $40,000 with a fort of $41,528 on January 8. However, three days later, it felt dramatically to $30.525 but its current price was more than $46,000 yesterday. Experts still expect it to reach $100,000 by the end of 2021. Yes, it is true that the price fluctuates and that is why we must invest with full knowledge of the facts and ensure that we do not have to suffer the blows. This is the conclusion I have come to: the only way to do this it is to entrust one’s investment to the care of a competent and honest professional who will ensure a stable return on investment whether the value increases or not. For the investor, the calculation is based solely on the amount invested. It is the professional who assumes the risks and not us. It's a question of know-how. When it goes down, nothing changes for you, no less profit but when it goes up, it's the trader who makes a profit, you stay stable. That's the price of security and it's the one I’ve chosen.
According to multi-billionaire Elon Musk, "even if Bitcoin obviously doesn't seem perfect yet, the famous crypto is much better for him than keeping the dollar or the euro."
