Growing up in Abu Dhabi during its remarkable transformation from a modest town to an internationally recognized city, I witnessed first hand the power of visionary growth.?
The city's evolution has profoundly shaped my understanding of myself and my aspirations. Abu Dhabi’s journey from a small town to a global beacon of development has fueled my desire to contribute meaningfully to the Middle Eastern market. This desire led me to establish YVT Consultancy, a firm dedicated to reshaping traditional consultancy, challenging conventional thinking, and integrating creative solutions while uplifting local talent.
When I first launched YVT Consultancy, my aim was to start in Saudi Arabia and expand throughout the region. Many asked me why I chose this path. Part of my decision was personal—a challenge to myself and a response to my curiosity. Growing up in the region, Saudi Arabia was a place I had heard about and discussed but never visited. When it opened up and began diversifying its market, I felt a surge of excitement about being part of this regional renaissance. I believed that driving positive change in the Kingdom would have a profound impact on advancing the entire region.
My vision extends well beyond today and tomorrow. I constantly reflect on where we will be in the next decade and how I can contribute to shaping the economic and social landscape of the Middle East. Growing up in the UAE has taught me the values of creativity, coexistence, and innovation, instilling in me the belief that truly nothing is impossible.
During my tenure in government roles, I identified four critical gaps that needed addressing:
At YVT Consultancy, we are committed to addressing these gaps and making a lasting impact. By focusing on regional empowerment, tailoring solutions to local needs, integrating creative thinking, and cultivating a positive work culture, we strive to drive innovation and success across the Middle East.
The YVT Journey: Redefining Consultancy
My journey with YVT can be divided into two key areas: our external work with clients and our internal company culture.
1. External Work with Clients
Our approach to consultancy challenges traditional models by prioritizing regional insights and local talent. Instead of imposing Western blueprints, we tailor our strategies to align with the cultural and economic nuances of the Middle East. By focusing on regional empowerment, we aim to elevate local businesses and showcase the true potential of the Arab world. This shift not only supports local growth but also enhances the global perception of our region’s capabilities and contributions.
2. Internal Company Culture
Internally, YVT is committed to fostering a corporate culture that thrives on collaboration, growth, and mutual respect. We are dedicated to creating an environment where employees are motivated and supported in their professional journeys. This focus on a positive workplace culture not only drives individual success but also enhances the overall performance of the company. My vision is to eventually transition into a role as a professor, sharing these principles and nurturing future leaders who will continue to drive positive change in their organizations.
Conclusion
The journey to leading YVT Consultancy has been both challenging and rewarding. By addressing the gaps I identified and focusing on regional empowerment and cultural relevance, I am committed to making a meaningful impact.
YVT stands as a testament to the belief that with the right approach, we can unlock the full potential of local talent and craft solutions that genuinely reflect the regional identity. As we move forward, I am excited to continue this journey of growth and collaboration, shaping a future where regional strengths are celebrated and leveraged for even greater success.
