My Journey
Mohammed VH , Pharm D
Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist at Aster MIMS | Passionate Researcher | FCPI Member
Hey Folks, This is my personal newsletter.
Its been a while I was thinking of starting this, well I guess this is the perfect time.
I was thinking what should I pen first as my first article, Then I thought I will share my career path.
Three years ago, being in this position felt like a dream. I never imagined I would reach this point and be writing to you today. At times, I learned to believe in myself, supported by those around me. I was determined that one day I would make myself proud, and the word that resonated with me was perseverance. There will be moments when you doubt yourself—I've experienced that too—but with perseverance, you will eventually succeed. Just trust your instincts.
A goal and a Plan gives you Focus
If you have a goal, take a moment to consider whether it truly brings you happiness. If it does, create a plan, and you'll naturally stay focused. Remember, as you've likely heard many times, it's not just about reaching the goal; it's about appreciating the experiences and lessons learned along the way that make the journey worthwhile. You will encounter pressure, hardships, and sacrifices throughout your path, but in the end, you'll come to realize that every step was worth it.
At first I wanted to be a Clinical Pharmacist but later on my dream was to become a critical care pharmacist, I knew it was a big ask for myself back then but as I mentioned I trusted my journey. I had to start my career as an oncology clinical pharmacist before I become a critical care pharmacist, During that time, I was primarily focused on learning about oncology emergencies rather than chemotherapies because my main interest was in managing such patients in critical care. I knew one day it will all make sense and till today I never stopped dreaming further.
Moments
When I first stepped into the conference, I felt nervous and uncertain about my abilities. However, it turned out to be a fantastic experience, especially when my study was recognized. I still vividly remember the first call I made to my guide, Sameer Abdul Samad . His excitement was palpable as he celebrated my achievement over the phone, and in that moment, I realized how proud he was of me.
At the next conference, I traveled alone internationally, empowered by the confidence I gained from the previous experience. I knew I was ready to represent my study on a global stage. By God's grace, I succeeded, and this achievement provided a significant boost to my career.
My Mentors
Throughout my journey, I've had the privilege of learning from several mentors. However, there are a few individuals who have truly stood by me and offered unwavering support. I want to express my deepest respect for my mentors, particularly Dr. Fathimathusuhara Shahul Pharm D, RPh , and Jennie Joykutty RPh Their immense support has been invaluable to me. While there are many others I could mention, I won’t list all their names here. They were both by my side at the conference when I stepped up to receive the award for the first time. I wouldn’t be in this position if it weren't for them.
Potential
In our personal and professional journeys, we often underestimate our own potential. Many of us may not realize what we are truly capable of until we step outside our comfort zones and try something new.

Emotional Challenges
Challenges can be intimidating, but they are also the catalysts for growth. When you face something unfamiliar, you push your boundaries and expand your skill set. This process not only builds confidence but also helps you discover new passions and interests.
You will experience a roller coaster of emotions throughout your journey, and during those times, having someone to support you is invaluable. I want to take a moment to acknowledge two incredible individuals whom I found in my journey: Dr.Shifnaz n.p Rph and Shamila Chalappurath .Their unwavering support has been immense, and I truly appreciate how they cheered for my success more than anyone else and also how they pushed me further to do more. Thank you both, from the bottom of my heart. I also want to express my gratitude to my family for their constant encouragement and love.
Build Relationships = Build Productivity
In today’s fast-paced world, the importance of building strong relationships cannot be overstated. Whether in the workplace or in our personal lives, fostering meaningful connections can significantly enhance productivity and overall well-being. well in such way LinkedIn has helped me a lot.
Building relationships also boosts morale and motivation. When individuals feel valued and connected to their colleagues, they are more engaged in their work. This emotional investment translates into higher productivity levels as team members strive to contribute positively to their shared goals. it helped me a lot throughout my journey.
Consistency is the Key
As I reflect on my career journey, one principle stands out as a cornerstone of my success: consistency. Throughout my various roles and experiences, maintaining a consistent approach has been crucial in overcoming challenges and achieving my goals.
Wrap up!
As I conclude this newsletter, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey I’ve experienced so far. Each step has been marked by learning, growth, and invaluable experiences that have shaped my career. Throughout this journey, I’ve discovered that embracing new challenges and maintaining consistency are essential for achieving success.
The relationships I’ve built along the way have provided support, inspiration, and opportunities that have enriched my path. I hope that by sharing my story, I can encourage you to pursue your own journeys with determination and an open mind. Remember, every path is unique, filled with ups and downs, but it’s the lessons learned and the connections made that truly define our experiences.
Thank you for joining me in reflecting on my journey. I look forward to continuing this conversation and hearing about your own paths as we navigate our careers together.
