My Journey on Linkedin

A few days back, I have reached 2000 connections here. I know it's not a feat or something to boast about, but I would like to thank the people who've connected with me. It's been a wonderful journey mostly. I have connected with my friends from my academic years, my colleagues (past and present), and people outside my circle. I met influencers and other people who are key persons within their respective organizations. Also, I have connected with people who wanted to spread their wings too. It's been a pleasure to meet you all.
I do not chat much, or sometimes at all. It's not from arrogance, like most of us, I have a hectic schedule. Sometimes, I feel very tired. But, I do respond to the messages I receive. However, it's not all roses. I have connected with people who just wanted my number to chat random things.
I guess it's ok for a while because no one can speak professionally all the time. At least, I can't. But, I became frustrated when it literally turned to irritation. Messaging all the time, "can we chat?", "what are you doing?", "are you single? why?", "can we start a relationship". And so on. I blocked all the numbers and will continue doing that whenever I will receive such messages. I mean for these messages usually appears on my FB inbox, and even then I block them.
When I have started on Linkedin, I had no idea on how to proceed. Now, I have come this far, and I want to meet new people too.
P.S. Sorry for the rant. Please continue with your lives. Thanks for reading.
